Hi guys! ? I’m new to the message boards (well, I’ve lurked, but I only recently made an account). My husband and I are booked for this cruise and we are really excited about it. We don’t really have work flexibility for a 7-day cruise, so it’s cool for us to be able to check out the Oasis on a 4-day itinerary.

I’ve only been on one cruise before ever, which was the Navigator of the Seas, for a 3-day cruise in August of 2019. We had a good time, but due to flights being delayed then cancelled, we didn’t sleep the night before boarding and I was a bit sick from some airport food and then was seasick... TLDR - I spent most of the cruise taking Dramamine and sleeping! So we really didn’t take advantage of what the ship had to offer, except for sleeping in the solarium, LOL.

This time around, we have direct flights 2 days prior to departure and I’m getting a scopolamine patch prescription (as well as being well prepared with the pressure point bands and non-drowsy nausea meds if needed)! We are ready to have a good time. ?

Welcome aboard.

I am right there with you in not being able to take a 7 day cruise. My wife and I just take 4 and 5 night cruises mainly but she recently stated that the gloves were off and book what I can. We now have a 6 night cruise booked for October 2022 which I am really looking forward to as well. Hell, at this point we are looking forward to any kind of vacation.

OK...so I just tried to look at prices for our sailing and cannot find it listed!  Hoping there is just a little glitch and it will be back on the list tomorrow!  Not sure why it would have disappeared?  ?

Just searched by cruise ships and found it.  Prices are much higher than they were when I booked!  At least I feel better knowing it can still be booked.

I would think that it really depends on if they are going to limit the capacity of the ship or not for this sailing. They may limit to 75% or in that neighbor hood by November but then they could also be doing full capacity as well by that. I guess it will depend on how these first sailings go.

Well we are now 90 days out. Hopefully they open up the check-in process soon. I guess we have to wait until Oasis passes her test sailing in a couple of week.

Ha I wasn’t thinking about that (test cruise first) and was wondering when our check-in would open up!  Good thinking!  I was hoping to get chosen as a volunteer for the test cruise but no such luck…no congratulating email for me!  ?

Still looking forward to our actual sailing…can’t wait!,,

Me too! Was 3pm the only time slot you had available?

Yes and I was a bit disappointed it was not earlier ?...and the other couple we are traveling with have not checked in yet (doing it tonight) so I am hoping their time is the same or not much later!!!

Update...our friends checked in and also got the 3pm offering.

Just tried to check in but I am getting an error message from the Website. the bad part is I have a major project at work and will not be able to call in for help until Saturday. Hopefully not all of the early check in times are taken by then.

The only check-in option was 3p-3:30p.  That was what I got when I checked in around 1pm yesterday and also what my friends got when they checked in at 9pm last night!

It seems the 3-3:30pm time slot is a default. I checked in to my Nov 7 cruise on the Anthem pretty much as soon as check in became available and that was the only time offered. It’s doesn’t make sense having everyone coming at one time. According to @Mattin his video…times will probably open up as the date gets closer, so keep checking!

Thanks for the 'heads up".  I will keep checking...

I am trying to check in and when I get to the arrival time page it says I need to select a time but there are none to choose from and it will not let me proceed with check in.  Does anyone have any advice?

Hmmm when I checked in the only time available was 3pm and I believe the others on this post got the same.  Just keep checking back every day (or whenever you think about then) because my understanding is more times will open up as we get closer to the sailing date.  If any of us notice changes we will post here…

Great.  Thanks!  At first I thought it was because I am in a suite with priority.

Looking back on previous posts in this roll call I see many of you are diamond and above, so the whole priority reason wouldn't make sense as you all would have had the issue.

Geez…that could be???  I do not have priority boarding on this cruise (cruising with friends who are first time on Royal) and they wanted side by side rooms so opted for ocean view balcony.

The status on here is not the status of our C&A.  I am no where near Diamond Plus yet!  Hopefully one day…..

RC Tech Support got back to me and this was their response:

Please note the arrival time is not yet confirmed waiting on the protocols  for your specific sailing.

Please allow a couple of more weeks to see if the protocols and the times become available.

Thank you for your patience.

I find this odd since some of you did receive that 3pm time.

Yes very strange.  That 3pm time does note that it is for a Wellness check.  But my entire party (4 of us) are vaccinated, although I had no questions regarding that when I was doing my check-in.  The health and safety portion of the check-in says to fill it out the day before my cruise.  Guess we will just have to wait it out and see what happens.

Oh thanks for posting this! I think that is even more evidence that we'll get a selection of boarding times later on. I got 3pm too but it wouldnt make sense to have everyone board at the same time if they're trying to keep us spread out!
