22joseph
Hi, We're looking at booking a cruise, on the itinerary page it states 'Your cruise fare includes roundtrip economy flights and transfers...' Can anyone confirm if that means your flight costs are included in the cruise price? Has anyone has any experience with this? Also, does anyone know (or has done), selected different flights then just paid the difference? Cheers all.
twangster
Welcome to the message boards! The Royal Caribbean Group of cruise lines operate different brands and in different regions. Some of those cruise lines include flights and transfers. Not all cruise lines within the Royal Caribbean Group of cruise lines include flights and transfers by the cruise line themselves but in many cases travel agencies will offer a cruise bundled with flights and transfers. It depends on region and cruise line.
twangster
Can you provide the URL for the website where you saw this? Thanks.
steverk
I saw a similar marketing statement (don't remember exactly where) related to the Celebrity Millennium out of St. Maarten. When I called and booked, I could get that deal from select cities, get the deal with an upcharge from additional select cities, or I could buy the cruise for less money and book the airfare separately. From Houston, it was cheaper to buy the cruise and airfare (through flights by Celebrity) separately. So, like most marketing statements, it was true, but not the great deal it first seemed. I saw this on the Royal Caribbean website under the itinerary page. This was yesterday when I booked (18/4), just checked today and it’s not there? Thanks. dee02554 and cruisellama 1
CruisinForABruisin
Jesus, that's a steal if it includes airfare. em.down.the.rabbit.hole, Momof4crazytocruise and cruisellama
Momof4crazytocruise
Book that immediately! What a great price if it includes roundtrip airfare! cruisellama
smokeybandit
Yeah no kidding, that's fantastic. And you don't even need to deal with Heathrow! Those fares look to factor in $300-$400 airfare, which I'm sure wouldn't be that cheap if you booked separate. cruisellama
twangster
Ah, the UK website. We'll have to wait for some of our UK users to comment on air included for UK guests. That's rarely an option from the US except for SilverSea cruises. cruisellama
Floski
Best hurry before Royal Caribbean joins the cruise line super league. I know - too soon. em.down.the.rabbit.hole and smokeybandit 1
em.down.the.rabbit.hole
I've just checked all the Alaska 2022 sailings on the UK site and none have air fare included. However, all 2021 (July to Oct) sailings on Jewel of the Seas (out of Cyprus) include airfare and transfers from UK airports.
