With her experience with all classes of Celebrity ships - see her being fleet captain someday.  I think she's positively changed the climate in how ship leadership is more engaged with guests to ensure customer satisfaction.  When she commanded SUMMIT impressed how she and her command staff would thank guests as you disembarked the ship on the last day.

I imagine this has become a greater sought after characteristic that will influence many would be Masters.

Some "old guard" Masters had the personality of a rock.  They were great mariners but lacked what cruise lines require which is different from what a cargo, container or tanker Master must possess.  

I think in general as the old guard retire off we will see more engaging ship Masters move up.  An active social media persona will likely become a requirement too.
