Just received notification from RCI that all May 2021 cruises have been cancelled. Will lift and shift our Harmony Mediterranean cruise to next May on Allure.

Bummer ?

We're booked on Allure this December.   Hopefully we're still going.

As each month gets canceled ?  Our cruise looks like the pick of the litter.

Our December cruise on Allure is still in the clear ? ?

Quick lift & shift question, can I do this online (I booked direct) or do I need to call RC?

thanks

You can look online but sometimes a human can do more than what you see online.

The link i have isn't working right now, their system may be overloaded right now.

Look for the Cancel Your Cruise link which also leads to the L&S and refund options.

Interesting.  The "cancel my cruise" link no longer has an option for L&S...at least it didn't when I just went there.  Only options were for a refund or just to cancel.  I only have a casino comp cruise in May so I'm 99.9999999% sure it cannot be shifted (they've only allowed me to do that once out of all of the casino cruises that have been cancelled previously) but I thought I would try.  Not even an option from what I can see.

Huh.  A couple days ago L&S was on there.

L&S ended in February, but is available when RC cancels cruises.

I think perhaps the public link is gone for anyone to use, but the option is there for agents/guests to call in and use.

If anyone has a casino comped cruise, go to your casino offers page, then enter the reservation number of your recently-cancelled cruise. If you are fortunate, a new code offer and a list of replacement cruises will appear. Hubby and I did this for our 2 cancelled May cruises and found 2 satisfactory replacement cruises. The list of available dates went from December 2021 through May 2022. A word of warning, though - this morning, we were on hold for quite some time, and even had a dropped call, when calling to book the new cruises (we prefer not to book online.)

Thanks for the suggestion.  This has never worked for me before but I will try.  Does this work even if you book through a TA ?

You put your reservation # in where you normally put your C&A number, right ?

I did indeed need to call in, very helpful RC agent, all sorted, now hoping the visit the Fjords next year. 1 slight issue, we'd booked a guarantee suite, which aren't an option next year so a quick call to his supervisor and the back office and all sorted. Very impressed with the RC team.

RCL has said that it would take them 60 days from "approval" to sail.

What RCG is reffering to is when they apply for a COVID-19 Conditional Sailing Certificate, there are materials that need to be submitted at least 60 calendar days prior to the date on which the cruise ship operator proposes to commence restricted passenger operations.

I assume our 9 night July 2021 cruise will be canceled. I looked around but still not sure. This all has become so confusing. What are our options? RC never emails to let us know they canceled one or how much FCC we have unless I call.

We had a March 2021 cruise paid with cash and FCC. Called in December to move to July. Guess no shot of cash refund?

They also said they'd respond quickly to any requests to begin test cruises, too.

I have a Southampton sailing on 20th June. I’m very doubtful it will happen, for one the uk is not out of restrictions until June 21st, secondly the itinerary is France (they hate us at the moment) Italy (just gone into lockdown again) and Portugal (red listed country and 10 day hotel quarantine required on arrival back to the uk.

I sort of hope it cancelled soon, because we don’t want to have to have to buy a plane ticket to Southampton (which is very expensive at the moment) that we will not be able to get a refund on.

Well 17th May will be the domestic cruises allowed,  I understand 21st June will be international cruises from UK (at the earliest)...

It will then be a question on what size ships can fit into UK ports (whether Scotland & Wales, n.ireland join in), and later on it'll be what international ports would be opened to travellers from UK ports (I'm expecting vaccinated passengers at this point)...

I'm expecting confirmation on 12th April (grant schapps mp doing travel review for road map out of lockdown; and Michael gove update on way forward on vaccine passports)...

I'd sit back and see if RCL cancels on you ( lift & shift or 125% fcc)... if not you can always then cancel 48hrs before sail date and get 100% fcc.
