lonerchick
I'm going on my first cruise in two weeks. We'll be on the Adventure of the Seas. I'm doing as much research as possible. When I'm not on excursions I was hoping to get some reading done. But in many of the videos I have seen, loud pop music is played by the pool. Is this all the time? And is there a pretty place to read?
DocLC
Go to the Solarium area if you want to be by a pool. The Viking Crown Lounge, and most other lounge, is quiet during the day. Only the main pool is real loud.
arebee
Depending on the boat, they have a library. I've never been on the Adventure of the Seas.
PRC
Viking Crown. Port side aft elevators to deck 14. Great views, quiet during the day and early evenings, bar service on-site.
firegal2539
I like the Viking Crown Lounge and the Library. I always stop every day in the Library because they offer a daily crossword puzzle, Suduko and Trivia puzzle. Plus I will usually borrow a book too! Matt
Solarium was my first idea too, but also the Promenade deck on Deck 4 or 5 has seating and no music there. Great views of the ocean from anywhere. DocLC and bcarney
packercruising
Depending on your deck, there might be a good reading spot right near your cabin. There are comfortable chairs all over the place. You won't have any problems. If you specifically want to be by a pool, the solarium is a great choice. Have an awesome cruise (Like there is any other kind)!

Galveston Steve
Solarium was my first idea too, but also the Promenade deck on Deck 4 or 5 has seating and no music there. Great views of the ocean from anywhere. Definitely the Promenade deck. I can sit there for hours reading and watching the sea roll by. Very quiet and relaxing and plenty of deck chairs. packercruising
We like to read on cruises too and finding a quiet, comfortable spot to read has never been a problem. Seat overlooking the atrium, but several decks up can be good. The solarium idea is an excellent one if you want to be more by a pool.
