twangster Posted February 18, 2021 Report Share Posted February 18, 2021 It's a framework offered by the underlying software firm that can be implemented to varying degrees by each company that uses the software for their own user community. If you look at the bottom of the page you'll see Powered by Invision Community. This is the company that created and manages the platform used to host this forum. It allows for user feedback as well as moderator or administrator actions to reflect user contributions. On some sites for example a bad apple who breaks forum guidelines could have negative marks applied against their reputation while their positive contributions as noted by the community indicates positive community feedback rating the user. The "reactions" that users can mark another user's posts with is the basis of their "reputation".
