Drewtastic86
We have been to St. Maarten/St.Martin many times and I feel like the beach & port shopping there is getting a bit tired. Any suggestions on fun things to do/see/go or unique excursions to do here?
teddy
We did the America’s Cup 12 Metre Regatta and had a great time. We’d definitely do it again. https://www.12metre.com/ HeWhoWaits
AlmondFarmer
Nude beach on French side...big let down. And by letdown I’m referring to what gravity does to older humans. We found ourselves there by accident. Some things can’t be unseen. JLMoran, SPS, Neesa and 3 others
JLMoran
Have you done any boat / snorkeling tours? Soualiga Destinations has a great all-day trip that takes you all the way around the island, with stops at Creole Rock, Pinel Island, and other places. My family and I did it and loved it. SPS
Last January, we booked a third party excursion to visit Topper's Rhum, a local distillery with MANY varieties of rum available for tasting. In addition, it included lunch at Topper's restaurant and a couple hours of semi-private beach time. (Transportation included) The year before, we rented a small car to drive over to the French side to go parasailing at Orient Beach and also to visit Topper's Rhum. (What can I say, we like their products!) Agree with @AlmondFarmer, the nude beach does not live up to any teenage fantasies you've ever had! My son (enjoys a variety of spirits, but not a huge rum guy) took the Royal excursion to Topper's and a beach. Reported that he enjoyed the tour and tasting. I'll have to dig around for the third party excursion link we used to book it. (All, is it allowed to post third party excursion links here?) I know that recently, RC cruise planners with St. Maarten port stops have "Topper's Rhum Tour & Beach" excursions listed. Also, Topper's FB page has listed that, as of November, they have a new location that incorporates the Rum Distillery and the Restaurant/Bar into one waterfront location! rjac
We had a fantastic day trip on a catamaran around St. Martins in 2018. My grand kids had a blast (GD was 13 and GS was 9). The GS kept cutting the line on the Tarzan swing to get to the front, nobody seemed to mind. Great crew, food and booze. SpeedNoodles
We did an ATV tour that included both sides of the island and an amazing lunch. The people are very nice and the ATVs are easy to drive (it was my first time and I passed!) https://www.splashinthesun.com/ BrandonOwen
KJones
We did a zipline/ tree top adventure excursion - I don't recall the excursion name but it was fun!
MelKaps
I really enjoyed the Rhino Rider and Snorkeling Tour. It was such a fun excursion, and we were fortunate that there was only one other family with us. I vlogged part of the excursion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcMDyyrIYZY
