Beachgirl
Hello, I just posted about this but doesn’t look like it went through. I am really hoping someone can help me. do you think the Symphony cruise in March of 2021 will go? Or do you think RCL will cancel March cruises? thank you very much!! WannaCruise
No one knows, but my guess is yes. We cancelled our Harmony March cruise. People speculate that when they start up, it will be the 3 and 4 day cruises (but again, until Royal confirms anything, no one actually knows). Also, with a vaccine around the corner, maybe Royal will wait it out a bit longer for people to get vaccinated. Who knows.
Lovetocruise2002
The answer is that nobody knows. There is a lot of speculation but no official answers. Personally, I don’t think it will go. I just cancelled my March 2021 sailing on Allure. Jax
WAAAYTOOO
I recently L&S my March 14, 2021 Allure sailing to a March 2022 (same sailing as @Lovetocruise2002) sailing for this very reason. I do not see any way that there will be sailings out of the US in March 2021. Lovetocruise2002, Jax and cruisellama
tonyfsu21
Not a chance. IMHO even 2021 Holiday sailings are questionable.
twangster
I don't foresee the CDC allowing cruising in March based on their statements that January and February of 2021 will be the worst months of the entire pandemic. cruisellama

Beachgirl
Thanks so much everyone for your replies. That was so helpful. We decided to cancel our cruise and rebooked using the FCC for Xmas 2021. It was just too much of a gamble. joshgates and WannaCruise
cruisellama
I'm not getting optimistic until we start seeing the "test" cruises occur (or at least be published for planning purposes). I think the delay in announcing March cancelation is for market reasons - didn't want the optics of cancelling all of Q1 '21 early on. twangster
Both Allure and Harmony are making their way to CocoCay and Miami respectively. Allure left the UK yesterday. Explorer is also crossing. They must think they are getting closer. parkyy2k, teddy, WAAAYTOOO and 1 other 2 1

GaryAA
We have a cruise booked on the Symphony April 24th. We are hoping it will sail but we’ve had 5 cruises cancelled already so we won’t be surprised if it is a no-go. At the same time, you don’t want to cancel and then have the ship sail away without you...

According to an order issued in October, any cruise line that wants to restart from the United States needs to apply for a conditional sailing certificate 60 days before a voyage. But before that happens, they need to run test sailings with volunteers — and must provide written notice 30 days in advance. The CDC said this week that no cruise line had applied for a certificate yet.

Would you say this also applies to Med sailings? I believe they will considering nothing is moving over there. And rumor has it that NCL will be testing their first cruise out of Montenegro, sometime in May. Of course this is tentative. Cruisegirl1976
I believe no cruising at least to the fall also.. at the earliest. monctonguy
monctonguy
Yeah..I haven't followed it much for Europe and Med to be honest as I have no skin in the game for cruising there....i think it will be back on a larger scale quicker in North America to be honest...but will there be a few cruises over there first to test the waters so to speak on a small scale?.....could be I suppose...but I am not so sure
princevaliantus
There goes the May B2B to the Med. Oh well. Maybe Hawaii. More safer. monctonguy
