SilverSea - "MORE ALL-INCLUSIVE THAN EVER"

It seems with Celebrities announcement of "Always In" her sister brands are trying to define their own All Inclusive territory.  In the case of SilverSea her "Expedition" cruises to destinations like the Galapagos or Antarctica included shore excursions but her other non-expedition cruises did not.  Now it appears all cruises include a shore excursion at every port.   Round trip airfare and transfers has been a promotion on many sailings but it now appears these are included as well.

I was on Princess' site this morning, they now have the same "Drinks, Wi-Fi, and Gratuities always included" option via their new Princess+ option. Although unlike X, they have that as a separate fare type. From the FAQ section at https://www.princess.com/cruise-deals-promotions/princess-plus/

Is a fare only option still available?
Yes. Princess Savers is our fare only option available to all guests and all cruises. Our two different fares allows you to choose what is best for you: Best Value with our Princess Plus fare (includes $95 of value per day) or Best Price with our Princess Savers fare.

Competition is alive and well, indeed.

Princess was like that a few months ago when I shopped them for an Alaska cruise.  Pricing for the uplift was pretty good.

I actually prefer this approach like Celebrity used to do.  Present perks as an option.

Need to be competitive.  I've seen that on other high end lines.  The higher level cabin you book, the higher on the priority list  to get on more popular excursions.
