GregD
I'm Italian, we eat more at Thanksgiving, for instance, this is just the appetizers, and this was a lite year (antipasti) RickinSTL, Neesa, Ogilthorpe and 2 others 2
Matt
More on the cruise. While I love traditional thanksgiving food, the MDR menu offers so much more! ehw51 and ChessE4
HeWhoWaits
Each dinner on the cruise is approximately equal in calories to those consumed for Thanksgiving dinner. Total for the day on the cruise exceeds total for the day on Thanksgiving. ChessE4, ehw51 and USCG Teacher

FionaMG
Exactly the same amount, down to the last crumb of pumpkin pie. Caveat: I have only ever eaten one Thanksgiving dinner and that was on a cruise. acesandeights and ehw51
PaulRC
That is a tough question to answer. In my house Thanksgiving is not "A meal" it is a day of eating. So the only way to answer that question is to compare it to a full day on the ship. Given that the answer is absolutely with doubt about it is a cruise day... Start with appetizers around 11. Full Italian dinner at 1, football, full turkey dinner at 6, more football, dessert around 7:30. Roll yourself home around 10. melmar02
I'm going to say it's a toss up at our house. We just had our family of 4 this year (and the kids are picky eaters) so we kept the meal small - lots of leftovers but just a few dishes. I had actually lost weight when I stepped on the scale Friday morning. However, we've had leftover pie and other goodies in the house for days and my weight is up overall since then as ironically we don't have a lot of dessert in the house usually. Right now it's about 3-4 pounds which is what I would typically gain on a 7 day cruise, and just like on a cruise "food fatigue" is setting in. ehw51 and Ogilthorpe
SpeedNoodles
Definitely a cruise. We almost always work on Thanksgiving, and if we don't we're at the inlaws, who can't cook worth a crap. I'm not a big fan of the "holiday". Ampurp85
Definitely eat more on a cruise. It was just 3 of us so I only made 4 dishes. On a cruise I am tasting all day.

CrimsonCruiser
comparing daily (since thanksgiving is only one day), I think I eat more on a cruise. Mainly because I don't have to cook the food so I have plenty of time to eat and eat and eat on a cruise. PaulRC
Zacharius
More on Thanksgiving because it's actually good food
Jolly Ogre
We always eat more on the cruise, however we also move more on the cruise. On Thanksgiving there is just a lot of sitting around, not so much on a cruise.
