Chuck586
We will be sailing on Oasis on deck 17 in an upcoming (June 2021) cruise. We have some family members that will be sailing on the ship in a balcony room. I understand that the rooms on deck 17 are secured behind glass doors which require key card access to even get into the hallway. Is there a phone in the lobby area for people to call the rooms to "buzz" them in come down and open the doors?
twangster
The glass door does not offer an intercom but in many cases the door is chocked open. If it is closed you will need to let them through by going to that door or they can attempt to "tailgate" behind someone else going through. Lovetocruise2002
Those doors are more often open rather than closed. WAAAYTOOO and tonyfsu21

Agree with @Lovetocruise2002and @twangster. During the day, those doors are almost always open. They do secure them at night usually. I remember one sailing, I purposely closed them every time I went by them. It was more out of curiosity to see if they would actually stay closed. They would always open back up. Maybe I need to sail with you! Ogilthorpe, Neesa and tonyfsu21

APM
There is a common phone right at the glass doors. They can call your room and you can come down and allow them entry .. if the doors are closed.
twangster
From 2016. Perhaps they added a phone during the amplification. Neesa
