Yes. Thursday we got an email for cancelled Cruise Planner purchase. We only had the Deluxe Beverage Package, but can't see why that couldn't be transferred.  Understandable if we had excursions, different itinerary. 

And yes, yesterday our new cabin assignment and cruise is showing up on our RC app.

When I log into my cruise planner, it still shows that I am sailing Brilliance.  What date was your Brilliance sailing?

That would make sense. I’m on the June 19 sailing and it still shows Brilliance. I may or may not be logging in multiple times per day checking that...

I can answer the first part of your question, although Pre-COVID...

We had booked Harmony for APR 2021 (Port Canaveral) and Royal subsequently cancelled most of the APR Harmony sail dates due to the moving up of the 5-year routine maintenance dry dock. Royal froze the cruise fare allowed us to pick any Oasis class sailing out of FLA during that month of APR plus added $200 OBC as compensation. We switched to Symphony (Miami) and just wound up paying a nominal adjustment to port fees, expenses, etc.

We didn't have any CP purchases at that time so I can't speak to that.

I will say that I finally got moved, and had something funny happen to me: I went on Liberty of the Seas in 2018, Independence's sister. Well of all the luck, I was assigned the EXACT same cabin that I had on Liberty on Independence! Now I'm wondering if it was indeed random or if someone went back to see what cabin I had on Liberty. If it was random that seems like a very low percentage chance with the hundreds of balcony cabins on the ship. Not like I had a GS or anything, haha!

This was the exact same dead end that my TA hit on Saturday when calling on my behalf.  Best she could do was get them to waitlist me for the cabin that I actually want and hope that prevents them from assigning someone to it.  Then when I get moved, she can move me to the one I want.  As of right now, I am still sailing Brilliance on July 3, 2021....no movement for me either yet.

Heads up to anyone that is being moved by redeployment........ Just got my first set thru and it is all messed up!  Connecting rooms on Brilliance are now on different floors - yep two kids in one room and 2 adults in the other - so not even their policy is being followed.  BUT WORST PART - they were refundable on Brilliance and now on Independence they are nonrefundab!e!!!

Check your confirmations over carefully!  This is one that is not easily fixed.

That is a trend my TA and her coworkers have observed frequently recently.

I had her apply an FCC to a booking and they converted it from refundable to NRD without telling her.  I later cancelled the cruise and they refused to refund my deposit.  Plus they refused to re-issue the FCC that was applied.

Yes, this has been going on for awhile as Royal loves to defer to Non-Refundable - BUT so annoying!  If you do not catch it within 24 hours or so they tend to refuse to fix it.

It seems like everything defaults to nonrefundable.  I recently repriced a cruise and the quoted price was based on a nonrefundable fare even though the cruise was booked refundable.  It was just luck that I asked if the repriced cruise fare was still refundable.

The chatter on my FB roll call group for the Brilliance 07/03 now Indy 07/03 seems to reflect exactly what you are saying. 

For myself, I sadly did not get the cabin I wanted so I am likely "jumping ship" back to Brilliance or dare I say, maybe Alaska...?

Make sure you call and ask about a room change.  I have seen these rooms changing a lot today inbetween the 5 calls to redeplyment - so worth a try in a couple of days.

On it already, but the more I think about it, the more I don't want to sail Indy.  I already sailed her post-amp, and the new itinerary is almost identical to the 8 night SY sailing we have in August.

Radiance Class in Alaska is a great choice.  No venue is without wonderful windows.  When we were on Ovation there were many venues that  had no ocean view, which was disappointing.

I was moved from Brilliance to Independence for 7/31/2021.  Totally cool with me, but now I get an error when trying to access the cruise planner.  I know that there had been a cruise planner sale and I was planning to book the drink package.  Does anyone know when this will be fixed or if they will honor sale prices due to inability to access the cruise planner?

I was an Brilliance 5/8/21 got switch to Independence on 5/8/21 was told I would get refund for drink, dining, internet package within 45days. The bad part is mY cruise was paid off and after the switch it says I owe $1,104!! Has this happened to anyone else ?

I'm getting moved to Indy as well but still stuck in limbo. I was just able to get into cruise planner and cancel my bev pkgs.

When I asked them if they would honor the pricing I was told no, they said keep an eye out for sales in the future.... Like I hadn't done that and it been screwed up by them.

My TA said many of the customer service people are new and not well trained so will take a bit to get everything sorted. There looks to be plenty of blocked rooms for them to shift people around on.

Yep!  I had the same thing happen to clients.  They were able to put the back into connecting rooms just in time for us to find a better option for them with the KSF offer.  So 8 calls to get things all moved around to then move to one Ultra Spacious room for them!  ?  They will get you are straightened out.  I think the redeployment team sometimes forget to look at notes or what clients had.

Were they trying to socially space you?  ?
