HeWhoWaits
And the same to @rjacfor a couple days early next week. We can use the rain in Winterville, so I assume New Bern can as well. We don't have concerns about surge flooding like you, though. JLMoran, WAAAYTOOO and RCIfan1912
Jill
We are about 15 miles inland north of st Augustine. Hoping for a breezy day tomorrow. Our coast is going to get battered though. RCIfan1912
JeffB
It was a nothing burger in Fort Lauderdale. Passed abeam our city about 10am slowly moving N. We're about 3 miles from the coast and if we had 25 knots I'd be surprised. No power loss for us. Cruise ships in Port of Miami were asked to take to sea - a common approach for large vessels. Sea is safer (they just sail out of it's path) than port in a bad storm. There are two cruise ships docked at Port Everglades. Did not hear anything about them. This was a dress rehearsal for the rest of the Hurricane season in S. FL. It's very early. Chances of this region getting hit are pretty high through early October. From all reports state's emergency management strategy with COVID around looked like they had a plan. 7 shelters were opened in Palm Beach County to the N of us and yesterday, when that area was forecasted to be ground zero, the shelters took in about 500 people. Reportedly orderly, good distancing and compliant folks inside them. FL is good at this. PRebecca, rjac and Dan Curtis
Andy & Sheryl Unwin
It was a none event on this side of the state (Sarasota County). A little rain is all, but thats nothing new for a Florida summer day. Fingers crossed it is the same for the lifetime of this particlular storm, and any others this season. tonyfsu21
I took this Sat pm while at the Downtown Cigar bar in Fort Lauderdale. Little to no wind and a small amount of rain. Just another Saturday night. Thankfully we were once again spared. WAAAYTOOO
HeWhoWaits
The eyewall passed very near us and the overall effect was not much more than a typical summer thunderstorm. Isaias was moving so rapidly that it did little as it passed through. WAAAYTOOO
MelKaps
Many of us in New York are without power. I think the last time we had this much of a power loss was Hurricane Sandy in 2012. On the bright side, cruise itineraries did not have to be altered (even though they did move the ships out of the path). SteveinSC

Itineraries didn't have to be altered because there were no cruise sailing with passengers!!! MelKaps

PPPJJ-GCVAB
Some parts of RI got quite a bit of wind damage and power outages. My power was out for 26 hours...finally got it back at 5:30pm tonight. Hope everyone fared as well as possible with little to no damage for anyone!
