Aug 1st

Since some of the CWC perks and L&S expires on Aug 1st. What do you think RCG will offer now? Do you think the L&S policy will be extended or will it only be CWC. What about how CWC applies to cruises booked on or before Aug 1st, do think they will expand everything to Oct 1st?

I sure hope they do.  I think L&S is the best program to come out in years.  It really makes sense and is a win-win for everyone.  Since Royal will be looking for ways to hold onto our money and avoid having to provide cash refunds, I think they will extend it.  Not sure what they are likely to do with CWC.  I think a LOT of people are now very hesitant to take FCCs with all of the restrictions.  If they do plan on extending CWC, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they try and make the FCC more attractive in some way....like allowing more than 1 FCC to be applied to a booking, etc.  Of the 2 programs (L&S/CWC) I think they are likely to keep L&S and possibly not continue CWC.

I would THINK they would extend everything till at least the end of year, and I would think they would extend some form of both L&S and CWC into 2021? At this point, if everything goes best case, there are only 3 months of sailing window remaining in the year. Into 2021 things still wont be NORMAL all of a sudden. ALL of our return to normal is going to be gradual....

I am more interested in knowing if they will extend the FCC expiry date beyond April 2022.  I was just saying to a friend earlier that with no start date in sight, I am starting to ask for refunds instead out of worry that I won't be able to use all the FCCs in time.

I thought the same thing. When this all started, Dec. of 2021 sounded like PLENTY of time for my FCC......now its not so hot considering I may not get to use it in 2020, or maybe not even some of 2021? Thats obviously speculation.....but.....not unreasonable speculation.

That right there is my exact thinking!  I thought I would have zero issues using them up but now...not so sure.

That's why I wonder about CWC and L&S, I took FCC for only one cruise and L&S the rest but I worry about the expiry date. If no cruises commence this year, God forbid, they have to extend some of the program to ensure consumer confidence. It makes me also wonder since it will be at least 6 months no cruises, what they might offer C&A and casino cruisers to entice them. A lot of us are losing faith because of so many cancellations and these programs help to cool the sting.
