Tell me everything I need to know about Mariner.

Recommended Posts

Took our grandson on a 4 day in February. Spent the whole trip in pool hot tub, flow rider.  No interest in Adventure Ocean although I think he might have met a buddy or two.  On Coco Cay, never left the wave pool.  It was very short, too short for us.  It took a little time for him to be comfortable and then it was over.

My first cruise ever and my wife's first in well over 20 years was on Mariner in January 2018.  We did a 5-night stopping at Costa Maya and Cozumel.

I'm glad it was no shorter and wished it was longer.

The thing that sticks with me the most is the customer service level.  Every employee we interacted with was outstanding.

Regrets:  I didn't try the Flowrider.

We did the 3 night last October kind of last minute. We are only 2 hours from PC. It’s a nice ship. You’ll have a great time. Maybe spring for Izumi one night for the entertainment value. Food is pretty good. We did all specialty dining on that cruise.

Your kids will love CocoCay. Nassau I’d probably get a day pass to Atlantis or go swim with the Dolphins at Blue Lagoon.

Be sure to board as early as you can. 10:30-11:00 to take advantage of the ship. Get on the Flowrider!

It’s a great way to get your feet wet cruising. I will warn you though, if you come back and book an oasis class, you’ll have a hard time going back to smaller ships with kids.

Loved it, did it 4 times last year and planned to do it a couple this year.

Great size, good itinerary, easy on/easy off in Canaveral. Plenty of onboard options. Perfect day at Cococay.

Let us know what you like/dont like, are interested in and i could comment further but this is definitely one of my favorite options for a great weekend.

My first ever RCCI cruise was Mariner in Jan 2019. It was 4 days, stayed on the ship for Nassau and got off for CocoCay. Honestly, I think any cruise under 6 days is too short. While Mariner isn't big, we got acclimated quickly, there is still lots to do and see. We caught most of the late shows, all are hit or miss depending on taste. Ate lunch at Jamie's, which was my least favorite lunch. We ate at the Windjammer for lunch when we went to Nassau and enjoyed it. The people watching while reading on deck and in the solarium is *chefs kiss* There were lots of kids who all seemed entertained. Had room service, ask for the juice without ice. I missed out on Playmaker's as my mother doesn't drink, so we stayed away from most bars. Broke even in the casino, the smoking wasn't too bad. I had a wonderful time and have her planned for 2022.
