Clear Laker
We are looking for current experiences with Cruise Planner refunds. A while back we purchased the Deluxe Beverage Package for a cruise this fall. Currently there is good price for the DP plus Voom. We called and asked to upgrade one of the packages to DP plus Voom. Was told you have to cancel the original purchase and repurchase the new package. In the pre-Covid days this would be no problem as you would get your refund in a few days. We were just wondering how long we will have to float the $400 to RC for a $54 Upgrade? Any current experiences on Cruise Planner refunds would be welcome. We understand the current expectation is 45 days, but RC just canceled 7 weeks of additional cruises.
Crazycruiser50
They told me 45 days when I called at the 15 day mark... I was not happy. jaredhamburg
Crazycruiser50
That was on 5/5... I’ll let you know when I actually see the $1088 refund. I cancelled my purchases because I wanted to use the 125% OBC on that particular sailing instead.
Ian T
I too am awaiting a refund for a shore excursion on an Oct 2020 sailing that I cancelled and re-booked in order to take advantage of a price drop. I am currently at around 3 weeks, so around the same time as @Crazycruiser50, and recognise that it's still early days...
