Casino Rez, removing guests

Recommended Posts

Need my casino experts help here. Have a cruise later this year booked through casino Royale, however now it looks like we’re going to add celebrity apex to this year, so not all of us can take the extra time off. I’m thinking I’ll still go and work from the cruise ship. So am wondering how to handle

1. I’m assuming that I’ll outright lose deposits on guest 2 and 3.
2. Since already paid in full, will FCC get issued for the amount between single passenger upcharge and three guests?

At least I’ll get the double points

I think this will work like any other no-show.  Only the taxes and ports fees (and gratuities, if they were prepaid) would get refunded.

If you were to cancel the cruise outright, FCC‘S for the refunded fares would be issued in the names of each of the original pax.  There’s really nothing different about a casino cruise other than the reduced cruise fare.  If you used a casino certificate and then cancel the cruise, you would not be able to rebook just for yourself.  Once a certificate is used, it is gone....even if you don’t actually take the cruise.  Royal made some specific exceptions for annual Prime cruises last year if they were cancelled by Royal, but as a general rule, once used, they are gone.

Than what I’m probably best doing is seeing if the cruise with confidence program gets expanded another six weeks, and utilizing that towards one of the other cruises we have booked. As that wouldn’t lose anything if I cancelled.
then booking a solo room somewhere else.

If it is expanded, the FCC would be in the names of the second and third passengers, even if it was you that paid for it.  We had that issue and because ours ended up being cancelled, I took the refund for the 3rd person so it would go back to my CC since we paid for it.

Being in their names would be fine. Luckily it’s just my wife and daughter and we already have three other cruises in the books for later this year and next. So applying it would be Easy.
