baltodave
Sometimes when pricing cruises, there is very little (if any) price difference between having RC selecting the stateroom vs. you selecting the stateroom. In fact, I've seen situations where it's even less expensive for you to select your own stateroom. So, is there any advantage to having RC select the stateroom for you? Thanks all! baltodave
So, if the "guarantee" stateroom category is more expensive (or same price) than one where you select the stateroom, what's the advantage?
WAAAYTOOO
Just now, baltodave said: So, if the "guarantee" stateroom category is more expensive (or same price) than one where you select the stateroom, what's the advantage? In this particular case, there is no advantage to allowing Royal to choose your stateroom. The only time the GTY choice has an advantage is if the GTY room is cheaper. Otherwise, no reason to choose it. teddy, USCG Teacher and SpeedNoodles

Since room location is important to us, we always pick our own cabin. To save $$, we'd rather pick a lesser category of room than give up the right to choose location. What that may show sometimes is that the guarantee cabin is a better category than the lower choice. for example on Oasis Class there may be OceanView balcony cabins available for guarantee rooms. in the cabin selection there may be Central Park or Boardwalk cabins which would normally be less than the oceanview categories.
