Michael B.
To all that have been screwed out of the 125% credit by Royal Caribbean because they are resuming cruises on April 11th (when, clearly, they said they were suspending operations for 30 days on March 13th), here is the proof: 1584198195_ROYAL-CARIBBEAN-ANNOUNCES-VOLUNTARY-SUSPENSION-OF-CRUISING-03132020.pdf
AshleyDillo
This announcement says absolutely nothing about the 125% credit. The announcement that mentions the 125% credit indicates a specific time period that the 125% is valid for. If your cruise is later than the April 10 date for the credit, you can either self cancel for 100% or wait for Royal to extend the cancellations. Right now it makes no difference if you cancel today or 48 hours prior to sailing..you still are entitled to the 100% FCC with the Cruise with Confidence program in place. Michael B.
The point is, they announced the 125% and then, emphatically, denied (when I talked to Lewis, a "supervisor" in the "Resolution Department" ever stating that they announced 30 days of suspension...we changed our plans, as did others, based on that. They backpedaled, clearly.
twangster
The dates that they are reneging for are April 11 & April 12. Technically these two dates were included in the original 30 day press release dated March 13, 2020 and they recognize that. However they are now saying their revised announcement on March 14 supersedes their March 13 press release. The 125% FCC would not apply to these dates because the 125% FCC was only offered starting March 14 with an end date of April 10. My cruise is April 12 so they initially said my cruise was cancelled when they announced the cessation of US cruises. The 125% FCC option doesn't apply because that is ends April 10. I have the Cruise With Confidence option to cancel for 100% FCC. My expectation is that the cessation will extend beyond April 10. The only question is whether they will extend the 125% FCC to cover my April 12 cruise, if I will have to accept the Cruise With Confidence terms or new terms will be created for cruises April 11 to some future date. March 13 On March 13 they announced the US cessation for 30 days but did not mention any FCC. 1584198195_ROYAL-CARIBBEAN-ANNOUNCES-VOLUNTARY-SUSPENSION-OF-CRUISING-03132020.pdf March 14 On March 14 they tweeted an FCC offer of 125% for cruises from March 14 through April 10. On March 14 at the same time as the March 14 tweet above, they tweeted a refund option in place of the 125% FCC for cruises between March 14 and April 10. The way this reads if you first choose the 125% FCC but later decide to take the refund option you have until December 31, 2021 to make that choice. March 15 On March 15 they announced worldwide cessation for the period of March 15 through April 10 but did not mention FCC. 1584198334_GLOBAL-SUSPENSION-OF-CRUISING-03142020.pdf WAAAYTOOO
mattymay
No one is going to stop the spread of this virus.. so given they have suspended cruising at this stage they are not going to start again when the situation has gotten worse. These dates are irrelevant as it will be months before anyone is cruising again.

I get what they did, and why, but it's pretty crappy when we've already cancelled our flights. To make an announcement that all cruises are cancelled for 30 days, then to decide to change their mind because they decide on a plan that's better for themselves does NOT sit well with me. I hear you, same situation. We have Cruise With Confidence for 100% FCC, port fees and taxes refunded. I honestly believe our April cruises will be cancelled. This hasn't peaked yet, it's getting worse. WAAAYTOOO and joshgates

Too early to tell. If cruises are still impacted in November I don’t want to think about where society will be. heffy2
I'm sailing in Harmony for the first time May 8th, I have a feeling it will be canceled. The company I work for canceled all cruises through April 10th, with more dates to follow.
