Miami Port Arrival?

Recommended Posts

We are leaving on symphony on Saturday 4/18. We are flying into Orlando the night before and driving to Miami. What is the earliest we can arrive at the port? Even if we can’t check in yet- we don’t mind waiting around. Just trying to avoid getting a hotel for what would only be ~6 hours or so.

thanks!

I did this last May: We drove from Orlando VERY early and arrived at the terminal around 10am, and then waited until 11:30 when we were called to board. They have a waiting area with ice water and vending machines, and we sat and talked while we waited. They have the entrance/gangplank/boardwalk blocked off for incoming cruisers until 11am when they call you by C&A status. I'm not sure if this is your first cruise, so if it is, I recommend packing a bathing suit, a change of clothes, and sunscreen since your stateroom won't be available until 1-ish. Safe cruising!

10:30am is the sweet spot.
