CruisingKat(Kathy)
OK, so I saw the thread talking about the mattress on a Royal Caribbean ship, that got me thinking. How are the Pillows on the Rc Ships? I sleep with a memory foam Pillow. I am trying to figure out if I should bring my pillow or I should be OK using Royal Caribbean's pillows? We are already up to Three suitcases and a garment bag. I have a fairly decent sized clear bag that I could put my pillows in, but I'm just trying to decide if I should bring it, or leave it at home. WAAAYTOOO
I have found the pillows to be great but I'm not particularly particular about my pillow. I would suggest that it isn't necessary to bring your pillow unless you really need YOUR pillow. arebee
Guess it depends how much you want your pillow. And, how much stuff you want to drag around getting on and off the boat. I have a memory pillow, too heavy for me to worry about packing it, never had an issue with the ones supplied and if you need another I'm sure they would bring you one. firegal2539
I couldn't see hauling a pillow through customs, on the plane, to the port and on the ship. It would take up too much room in my luggage. On top of that, knowing how forgetful I am, I would probably leave my pillow when I disembarked. I use a very specific pillow because I have had neck and back surgery but RCCL's pillows are fine for me and I always ask for two more than what is on the bed. CruisingKat(Kathy)
Thank you very much everyone for your input. I have neck issues sometimes, and develop Migranes from the neck stiffness. So wanted to make sure, from other Cruisers RC pillows were comfy. Matt
I rather like RC's pillows CruisingKat(Kathy)
DocLC
If we're sailing from a home port, my wife often brings her favorite pillow. However, if we're flying to the port, she doesn't bother. I don't recall disliking the pillows provides. CruisingKat(Kathy)
WHStoneman
Being a CPAP patient, I will only travel with My Pillow pillow. They are a very convenient travel accessory that works perfect for my situation. CruisingKat(Kathy)

If I decide to bring my pillow I have bag I can carry it in. markinct

Rich T
My wife always brings her own pillow. She puts it in a space bag and squishes the air out so it is pretty tight and compact. I don't mind the RCI pillows.
Pas
This is an old thread, but I was just wondering whether I could bring another pillow. I’m supposed to sleep at an angle and I normally position the pillows that way. Would they bring me one if I asked for one? KristiZ
You'll have extras in your room, and they will happily bring you more. Just talk to your room steward when you first meet him/her on arrival.
JLMoran
I've been fine with the provided pillows on both of the cruises I've done so far. But I do pack my knee pillow and use that instead of putting a regular pillow between my knees. A lot more comfortable, especially after having to get my one knee scoped and learning it's becoming arthritic. rtread
Mike Lindell thinks that everyone who cruises on any cruise ship needs to take 2 My Pillows with them.....I know he does.
SpeedNoodles
The only really good nights of sleep I've had in the past 2 years were the 4 nights I spent on Mariner with that bed and those pillows. But pillows/beds are such individual things.
mom2mybugs
I'm fine with the pillows but I love sleeping with my polar fleece blanket. It's way too big and heavy and I schlep it everywhere... Even to Europe last year. Trying to tell myself I don't have to bring in on majesty...... Jane
Whizbank
I prefer softer squishier pillows but these are fine I was able to sleep on them. I did have extras in the room and used those too sitting up reading
JSpiak
We bring our pillows everywhere. We use space bags to help with space. Never had a problem with them not popping back to regular size.
Vlgg
I am fussy about my pillows. Even invested in "My Pillows". I have always liked the pillows on cruises and used theirs and slept like a dream.
