Enchantment of the Seas - 7 night Bahamas cruise

Hi all, my husband and I are going on our first RC cruise on May 29th 2020 for our honeymoon. We are doing a 7 night cruise to the Bahamas out of Galveston. We are both very excited but some blogs and reviews have me worried. I’d like to ask you all a few questions I have.

Itinerary:

-Galveston

-Cruising

-Key West

-Nassau

-Coco Cay

-Cruising

-Cruising

1) Has this cruise normally been done on a different ship or something? I can’t seem to find any reviews on this specific cruise with this ship.

2) Is the drink package worth getting for a 7 night cruise? My husband and I are wine drinkers so the discount for the bottle prices might be great and we are also stopping at coco cay so does that factor in when deciding? We do drink normally as well, not just wine to be more clear.

3) what is this lobster night I keep seeing mentioned in the blog? When is it? I want to do the chef table and I don’t want to miss out on lobster night while doing chefs table.

4) Any suggestions for honeymooners cruising? I want to get the most out of this cruise. We had to cancel our original honeymoon cruise because I became pregnant and gave birth 2 days after our 1 year anniversary. It’ll be great to finally celebrate a honeymoon and anniversary.

TIA for all the help. We appreciate it!

I’ll most certainly have to give a review then after we get back ?

Its just that Enchantment is an old ship.. A lot of people prefer to go on Liberty out of Galveston.. But as long as you are not looking for all the bells and whistles a new ship has then you will be fine... And lobster night is usually night 5 or night 6 the second formal night..

We did this itinerary on Enchantment for our honeymoon, but just out of Miami not Galveston, and we personally enjoyed the itinerary.  Enchantment is definitely an older ship, and does show the age in some places, but we still had a great time and if Enchantment was doing an itinerary that we wanted to do I would book again.

If you’re planning on drinking more than 4-5 drinks a day the drink package is probably worth it for you, plus you can use it on Coco Cay.

We told them it was our honeymoon prior to boarding and they did little things to help us celebrate, like decorating a plate when bringing our dessert at Chops, and they did cake and champagne in the Viking Crown lounge one night, couple little things to help make it a little special.

Thank you, that was helpful. It’s nice to hear others positive stories ? when we called to book, we said it was for our honeymoon and was told they will have strawberries and champagne waiting for us in our room as a gift. It’s a very kind gesture. I was also surprised when the agent asked if there were any food allergies. I don’t know if you get that option while booking online but it was really helpful. I have a whey protein allergy so I can’t have certain dairies and it makes me feel better that it was noted in our reservation.
