I've checked and they only have one sailing this year. There aren't any for next year at all. Just curious if anyone has heard anything on this. Thank you! Matt Posted February 19, 2020 Report Share Posted February 19, 2020 RC has scaled back Panama canal sailings for two primary reasons (in my opinion): Collapse of the South American cruise market Demise of cruising on the West Coast of the USA Both of these reasons have reduced the reason to send a ship through the canal. Sure, Panama canal cruises are appealing to some, but they aren't a giant revenue generator and at least for RC, are more of a "means to an end" type cruise. Looked at a lot of options but ended up on NCL Joy for ours this fall, Royal just didnt seem to have a lot of offerings to compare to.
