Tigerlaw
First time RCer leaving in a week on the harmony. I doubt I will want to pay for any of the photo packages, but just curious if I do pose for their pictures will they also take a picture or two with my camera? Thanks for the help
twangster
Typically no and they don't let people use their backdrops for non-RC pictures. If they close a staircase it's typically for their use only. Often you'll see another staircase trying to be used by people to take their own pictures but they have to contend with regular guest foot traffic using the same staircase. sk8erguy1978
You can also ask fellow passengers to snap a photo, most are more than willing (I'm usually asked as I walk around with a DSLR). Last cruise with a group we asked a crew member on boarding day to snap a photo of us. Granted, it was two steps after boarding, so just a random wall. Tigerlaw
Thanks for the responses. I was just wondering if it worked similar to how Disney does it with their PhotoPass photographers.
JohnK6404
Crew members throughout the ship will take pictures usually if asked. We had a few taken by crew members last cruise, but I agree that the actual RC photographers are not likely to snap photos with your camera. whenismynextcruise
Or ask another passenger. I have been asked to take pictures of folks tons of times with their cameras and I always oblige. Look for friendly faces in the crowd. Everyone is there for the same reason: to rest, relax and create and capture those wonderful vacation images and most friendly people are happy to help you out. I would venture a guess and say that the RC official photogs are not allowed to take a picture with your camera. The pictures they take are for profit only for the cruise line so asking them probably puts them in the awkward position of maybe wanting to do it for you but really can't and now they have to explain that in a nice way. Have a great trip!!! PRebecca
