klemire626
Any good ideas for things to do off the ship while at Port Canaveral for the day?

Va4fam
KSC would be first choice. Ron Jon surf shop, go karts, and beach would be fun too.

madeline236
We were at Port Canaveral last week and did Disney. It was worth it in our opinions as we were in port for 12 hours and love Disney. We booked the transport with RCL and then took an uber from the drop off location to Hollywood Studios to see the new Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. WannaCruise
You often hear people recommend the KSC and rave about it. Can someone explain what is so special about it? It doesn't interest our family but maybe I'm missing something since we're never gone (but we're not into space stuff). Having a hard time ourselves with Port Canaveral. If we didn't have another stop where we are staying on the ship, we might have picked to stay on-board. Instead we currently have an "excursion" booked (i.e. transportation) that takes us to Disney Springs. Also has outlet stop as well that we're not really interested in, but at least we'll get a Disney fix. Would love to do Disney transportation and go to the parks but too expensive (and our stop is only 9 hrs, not 12 hrs like above).

It's done really, really well if you are into the space stuff. There's lots of exhibits -- enough to keep you busy for the entire day, and a bus tour that even takes you out to see the launch pads and vehicle assembly buildings that they used. Tons of interactive stuff too with hands on exhibits and experiences. It's educational and fun and a good use of the day if you really don't have anything else you want to do during that stop, IMO. Thanks for explaining. Can see it being popular if its interactive and then cool for seeing some actual launch pads. Don't think it's our thing, but can see why it's popular for the stop. Hoski
Kennedy Space Center, we got a sale through RC and it was cheaper than an Uber for 5 people and the tickets.
