pachanga5
My husband and I are taking our first cruise this June. This will be a family trip with our two teenage daughters. Should we plan to pack beach towels from home? Are towels provided for use in the pool areas on the ship, and if so are we able to use those towels off of the ship on our Nassau and Coco Cay beach days? If you do suggest bringing towels from home, do you have any favorites to recommend? I've seen some compact styles on Amazon but wasn't sure about absorbency. AnnetteJackson
You can always get the towels by the pool. I like to have my own towels to take off the ship in port because they are not as bulky and fit my bag. Here is what I call my "shamwow" towel https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MJKPFHC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 pachanga5
MelKaps
No need to bring your own towels. The pool deck provides beach towels. All you need to do is scan your seapass card with the crew member to check out the amount you need. Make sure you return the towels, otherwise you are charged $25 per towel not returned by the end of the cruise. You are allowed to take them off the ship for excursions and use them on the ship at the pool. pachanga5
teddy
You can check out towels for use both on and off the ship. if you fail to return them, you will be charged. edit: lol. Everyone replied at once. pachanga5

DDaley
I brought my own towels and loved being able to easily spot my pool chair among the sea of blue RC ones. Also, they fold up super small for bringing off the ship, the RC ones are way bulkier and take up way more room in your beach bag. We used these on 2 cruises so far and they dont get smelly or stiff even after 7 straight days of usage. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DJ1CXWN/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=AOE12EV6AFWFE&th=1 pachanga5

Also like the convenience of exchanging the towels whenever needed or for however many are needed. Great idea. Thanks!

sabarwolf
Only reason to bring your own towel is that you want your own. Otherwise the towels Royal Caribbean provides are just as good. We took our own on our first cruise last August; it was one of those things that we thought we might need and really didn't end up needing. Won't be packing again. pachanga5
F1guynz
If you get really taken by one of their blue pool towels just keep it. Conveniently, they will automatically charge you $25 for each one you keep if not returned. pachanga5 and KristiZ
