Crown and Anchor- Level Change

So.......in 33 days we are scheduled to depart on Symphony of the Seas.  We are traveling with 2 other couples and all 3 couples are within 2 points (nights) of our next level(s)(Diamond, Emerald, and Platinum).  My question is, do we have to wait until the points post after our sailing to move to the next level? Or is there a way to move up  levels mid sailing?  Has anyone had experience with this?  Thanks.

I'll be on the same sailing!

You will get your points about 7-14 days after completing the sailing, so your NEXT cruise you will be recognized at your new level.  Enjoy your cruise!

Only reaching Pinnacle (the highest level) is recognized while on board.  All others are recognized on your next cruise because points only post a few days after you return.  The only exception is if you are on a back to back (B2B) cruise.  If you reach a new level during the first cruise of your B2B, you can talk to the Loyalty Ambassador on board to receive your new status and perks for the second cruise of your B2B.

For the most part the current practice is for Pinnacles to be recognized but get no benefits until the next cruise.  You get a picture with the Captain and a bottle of sparkling wine but that's it.  The Pinnacle perks don't kick in until the next cruise like everyone else.

Having said that there are reports of exceptions where someone did get some of the perks during that cruise.  However there are also reports of that occurring for other levels as well.  They are few and far between though.
