What was the experience like? we were on the freedom last December and were a little disappointed because we didn’t utilize the ship much, we couldn’t get into the ice show at 45 minutes before, embarkation and disembarkation was pure chaos. I have read that they will help get through the chaos, but cost a fraction of the Key. We will take any tips you have, as we are cruising for the first time in May with Freedom. CurtisM Posted January 12, 2020 Report Share Posted January 12, 2020 My wife I and had the Key in September on the Freedom If you don't utilize all the perks than it is very much not worth it. Embarkation were were on the ship in 10 minutes with a personal escort from John Paul (who hooked us up with several deals during the cruise). With debarkation you should have been escorted off the ship to a special area and really not needed a porter, but it would have saved you time if you had a flight that afternoon. We used porters on disembarkation and it made a world of difference. I think it may be that we had bad timing so there were too many people. I think we’ll show up early and leave early too.
