Traveling with special needs child

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, hoping you have some advice for a good friend of mine that is considering cruising with their special needs daughter (age 9)

She is thinking star class would be a good fit but we are wondering  what stateroom would best accommodate 5 people. 3 adults, 2 children, 1 being special needs. 2 bedrooms required plus private hot tub is preferable. Any recommendations on a stateroom would be great.

Does anyone know Royals policy on diapered children entering the public pools.

Thanks in advance.

The villa suite on Symphony and Harmony are really going to be the only ones that fit the bill.  They are 4-bedroom Star Class suites and have the private hot tub.  The other suites with the hot tubs won't have the 2 bedrooms.

Diapered kids are a no-no in the public pools but there is a baby splash area that allow swim diapers.

The Villa is the only one with a private hot tub that fits the other requirements.  The ATS has two separate bedrooms but no hot tub.  The Royal Loft holds a max of 5 and has two bedrooms but the master is in the loft so there is not much privacy other than a curtain.  There is a hot tub on the balcony of the Royal Loft.
