raahc
Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I can't believe how fast the time is flying. Seems like only yesterday we were 180 days out. I printed our set sail passes (we won't have any data/roaming on our phones) and luggage tags. Flights, hotel, shuttles, US$, packing lists, travel docs, insurance docs, copies of passports, pre-authorized payments for bills/credit cards - done Is it me, or there is a lot to prepare for a cruise! What else am I missing? Thank you! ellcee and Sweety

melmar02
Is someone picking up your mail, or are you having the post office hold it? I would set that up asap if using the post office - last time there was some new verification process and the website said it could take a few days to process the request. Make plans for your pets and don't forget to take out the trash. WAAAYTOOO

The planning has been stressful, but I'm sure it will be all worth it. So grateful for your help and everyone here! 22 hours ago, WAAAYTOOO said: Me too !!! I have a stack of US $1 bills when I did our currency exchange. Thank you! 16 hours ago, melmar02 said: Is someone picking up your mail, or are you having the post office hold it? Yes, I have a family member who will check our mail box, no pets, but thank you about the trash. Thankfully our garbage pick up is on a Wednesday, and our flight is on a Friday! So much to do! sabarwolf
Shut down your computer. Unplug anything that doesn't need to be plugged in. Eat/throw away any food that will expire while you're away. IRMO12HD and raahc 1

I personally kind of enjoy the kumquats-and-sauerkraut-for-breakfast kind of pre-travel meals! Kris10May, IRMO12HD and ellcee 1

VillainsGin
I set an alarm with a note to turn phone on airplane mode before ship sailed. (that way I was able to still take pictures and make calls 1 last time before we sailed off) Bring water shoes they were a game changer for me. They're fairly affordable, I went with a brand called aleader on amazon. Take note of the time of when the casino closes daily. They always close when heading closer to land due to the laws. Example: I was playing roulette and was betting strictly on colors, it hit 7 consecutive black colors and I was going to bet red the next spin but they ended up closing the casino and I lost the chase for hitting a red. Put on the cruise luggage tags after you've arrived at the cruise terminal to avoid confusion with airport luggage tags. With everything going on the morning of, we may forget to put our phones on airplane mode! I'm having a hard time finding water shoes since I have wide feet We won't be going to the casino, but very good idea! I was thinking the same thing about our cruise luggage tags ... put on when we check out of our hotel 43 minutes ago, DublinFC said: This is nice to have...... I looked for this several times and can't find it in my area (Toronto ... Winners, HomeSense, etc). It definitely is good to have, especially since this time around, we chose the bed to be closer to the bathroom Ogilthorpe and DublinFC 1
