Fernas
what are your thoughts about dinner time on a solo trip? It will be my first time alone on a cruise (and that's not a problem ... since I'm not a shy person and I love to enjoy myself) In previous cruises I did traditional dinner because we could get the whole family together ... but what about now? Better to meet new people every night or repeat the table to try build new friendships?

Better to meet new people every night or repeat the table to try build new friendships? We are a family of three and have always requested a table with others. It is a bit hit or miss, but in our last cruise we snagged a nice table by the window in MDR and sat with a solo traveler. We had great conversations every night. We warned her when we are dining elsewhere so she wouldn't feel abandoned. Whatever you choose, have a great cruise.... Fairlynew
PG Cruiser
Being a frequent solo cruiser myself, I have always requested for a table to dine by myself. The “solo” tables (actually tables for two) by the windows are positioned closely to each other. I’ve never had an unpleasant experience interacting with those seated next to me.
