Hello - our cruise ship will be leaving on Monday, Dec. 9th at 4 p.m.  Will the pools on the ship be open after we board the cruise ship, and while we wait for the cruise ship to leave port?

What do most people do after boarding and waiting for ship to leave port?

Thanks

Most people eat lunch then explore the ship.  Go to the dining room your assigned and find your table.  It will save you wasting time looking for your table when the entrance to the dining room will be crowded the first night.  LIke ChrisK2793 says.....the pool will be open

One caveat - they can't fill pools while the ship is in port.  If they have had to empty a pool and did any maintenance sometimes they have to wait until they are back out to sea to refill the pool.

Most times the pool is available upon boarding.  Hot tubs too.

Experienced this (sort of) last week. Only one of the two main pools on Mariner were open. One was half full with the net over it. But Solarium and all the hot tubs were open, and plenty of room on the pool deck.
