JRogers
Hello - our cruise ship will be leaving on Monday, Dec. 9th at 4 p.m. Will the pools on the ship be open after we board the cruise ship, and while we wait for the cruise ship to leave port? What do most people do after boarding and waiting for ship to leave port? Thanks
ChrisK2793
Yes, the pools will be open. Bring your bathing suit in a your carryon because you may not get your luggage until late afternoon. Also, you cannot get into your room until about 1pm and will have to keep your carryon with your until then. ChessE4 and Srp431

It will save you wasting time looking for your table when the entrance to the dining room will be crowded the first night. LIke ChrisK2793 says.....the pool will be open
KenCP
Also if you have any dining packages booked make sure you visit one of the restaurants to make your reservations once you board to get the times you want.
twangster
One caveat - they can't fill pools while the ship is in port. If they have had to empty a pool and did any maintenance sometimes they have to wait until they are back out to sea to refill the pool. Most times the pool is available upon boarding. Hot tubs too. Experienced this (sort of) last week. Only one of the two main pools on Mariner were open. One was half full with the net over it. But Solarium and all the hot tubs were open, and plenty of room on the pool deck.

Zacharius
Last cruise we just wore our swimsuits on to the ship and immediately grabbed a drink and were in the pool by, oh, 11am? I promptly sprained the heck out of my thumb getting in to the pool, but it was still a good way to start the cruise
