What do you collect as keepsakes from your cruises?

I collect luggage tags!

I like seeing them with my running bibs and medals

I also collect SeaPass cards (which I intend to mount on a frame or shadow box.  The souvenir cups from the beverage package are also part of the collection, except the cheap flimsy plastic ones they were using in summer of this year (2019).  I thought of collecting Cruise Compasses but I might just keep scanned version on digital storage.

I collect the Cruise Compasses in foreign languages plus English and put them in 3-ring binders with other materials.  This is in addition to the SeaPass cards you've mentioned.  We look for the odd port souvenir, but I'm prohibited from acquiring anything that takes up a lot of space. My awesome hand-carved cane purchased at Labadee is still buried in the closet....

We collected the SeaPass cards as well as magnets from every ship and port.  I try to find something unique from every port that we are in, something that you can not find just anywhere and grab that as well.  Once we move and I have the space I will find a reasonably sized display case and show them off, but at the moment most of what I purchase is still wrapped in paper and in a drawer or cabinet where I keep it all until then.

  • 1 year later...

We store our seapass cards in a business card holder binder.

As far a collectibles, we keep a dollar chip from the casino and I make a magnet out of that. Each chip has an identifier for the ship so that is our ship "display."  I also buy a Christmas ornament from each island and we have an extra Christmas tree just for travels. It turns into a trip down memory lane each year when I pull the ornaments out!

Seapass cards and ship models so we can see what ship we have been on.

Unfortunately, I think Royal has stopped producing the 'heavy' 3D ship Ornaments. We just came off Odyssey and the only ones they had were round 3d ones.

They're ok , but don't sit on the shelf.

My guess is COVID shipping delays with it being a new ship. They still had the "heavy" ornaments on Ovation a few weeks ago.

My MIL is on Mariner right now and they're out too. Staff in the gift shop confirmed it's shipping delays, they're hoping to have them back in before Christmas.

Do you buy the plastic surrounding the luggage tags, or is that provided? First time on RC in about 35 days (fingers crossed that FOURTH time is a charm)!

I got them from Amazon

Sea pass cards. I also have the cruise compass so hopefully either printed ones or pdf's are available.

I have also found i like collecting basic bills and change (currency) from the places i have been. I have all the standard pocket currency from around a 20.00 dollar bill on down. Who knows. The us economy could be put to shame by Jamaica one day if some ultra rare mineral is found and overnight the JMD could be worth 1000 USD.
