As long as it’s not worse than “The Gift”....?

The Gift at least has a plot..One Sky was just a medley of songs around a loose theme.

I've also found the sound at all the shows on Oasis to be on the loud side.  It's understandable in the Music Hall, but it was ear-bleeding loud there.  Aqua80 was very, very loud as well.  It's like they cranked up the sound levels to 10 at all of those.  CATS was the only one where the sound was at a reasonable level.

What a beautiful picture!!!!! Love the outfit.

Thanks, Sweety !

I don’t know if I even mentioned it, but our meal at 150 (beef tenderloin for 2) was very marginal.  The beef was chewy and tasteless.  I have come to the conclusion that I am just “steaked out”.  I have never been a huge beef fan to begin with and in the past 9 days I have eaten more steak than I would normally consume  in a year.  I think I just need to steer clear of steak for a while. Maybe they will be more palatable if I keep them as a special treat.

Raye, i kind of agree with you about 150.. Honestly All the food on Oasis did not WOW me and I had the Unlimited package.. I just feel like more and more the food on Royal keeps going downhill.. I am going on a family cruise Dec 29th on Celebrity Edge.. I am curious to see how the food compares.. I already like that their casino is non smoking so who knows.. I Also really enjoyed Phoenix last week.. I was talking to one of the bartenders in music hall he also agreed the one on Quantum class ships is so much better but like you said Royal had to work with what it had and it is a step up from Dazzles.. How did you do in the Casino Yesterday? Hopefully still ahead.. Keep having fun. - Steph

Hey, Steph-

Truthfully, we have not been back to the casino since the first night. We walked through there yesterday morning but it was already so crowded plus I couldn’t tell which tables were open do we just kept moving. I have not felt the need to hang out in the casino this trip.  I

I imagine  a great deal of that had to do with our beautiful suite.  I just love being there !

For those of you who might care, I told photos of the bar menu in the Suites Lounge.

image.thumb.jpeg.932ac0026b97803438934321663945b8.jpeg
This is the Happy Hour menu available daily from 4:40-8 PM

I have the full service menu as well but need to clarify some info on this one and will publish it later

Thank you, we are diamond and cruising next moth, can never remember what is available.

I need to go back and confirm this. If I’m not mistaken, these drinks are available all day (11-11) and not just 4:30-8 to person eligible for the suites lounge.

Nope. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages are available all day. The spirits selection is only available during happy hour.

Otherwise, spirits can be purchased (or beverage package used) at anytime from the bar.

(Standard disclaimer: Only Oasis class ships have a Suite Lounge bar that is open during non happy hour times. Other ships offer only items from the menu during happy hour.)

Yep.  You’re absolutely right. I couldn’t remember. Guess it’s been too long a “dry” spell for us !

@Rags1 it’s going to go be an “All Star” Genie team for the next few months. Israel  (starting Dec 8th), Smitha, and Allan F. All of them are experienced Genies, around for a very long time, and all have superb reviews. You basically cannot go wrong with any of them!  Unsure if they are keeping a 4th genie around. Maybe @WAAAYTOOO can inquire about that as I am curious too.

@WAAAYTOOO your Uber situation, that happened to us with Lyft in Fort Lauderdale. I was so mad! Like @SpeedNoodles, they charged us a $5 no show fee too and the guy didn’t even call. We were standing right there and saw him drive off! Anyway, I sent a complaint and they refunded me back my money and said they would follow up with the driver.

We had two of those back to back at FLL on 11/23. First one blew right past us so he could claim he was there but we weren’t (turns out he’s using a fake name to collect a new driver bonus) and the second one never left the waiting lot as he was hoping we would cancel so he could collect the fee.

Came back from the casino a winner tonite !  Quad 3’s (4 of a kind for you non-players). Yippee !  This movie seems familiar to me (started out a winner on last weeks cruise.  By the end...not so much).

At a cash game or at an UTH table? Anytime I get Quads at a cash game I can never get any value out of it.

I didn’t though.  I was a chicken to prebet pocket  3’s.  I know.....you’re supposed to but I was a clucker ?

I get burnt by Ace-good kicker all the time being afraid to play it. Can’t trust my gut that the Ace alone will hold up a decent percentage of the time.

I played UTH at one point... Playing by the book prior to the flop is very painful at times.

First time I ever played on Majesty a few years back I hit quads on a pocket pair. Well just say it was late at night and very colorful language was involved. Yup, dealer pulled off a straight flush with garbage.

Now that the table minimums have gone up so much it just become too large of a needed bankroll for my taste.

Breakfast this morning at Johnny Rockets. We had missed doing this on our last few Oasis class ships and decided NOT to miss it this time.  It was unremarkable but we did it !

Dan had some kind of breakfast sandwich and I had <cold> pancakes.  As Dan’s grandfather used to say, “it’ll make a turd”.

Beautiful morning to eat outside at JR though.  No sun and no wind.  Glad we did it.

We have arrived in Falmouth.  This is among my least favorite ports of call but I will say that it is among my favorites in regards to the ease of disembarking and proximity to the port compound.  It is RIGHT there as soon as you get off the ship. No pier to walk down at all. BOOM- you’re right there at the compound.

Ugh. You got the finger (on the lens).  Sorry about that.  Twangbot would never let that happen !

image.thumb.jpeg.d9cfe87e9a9d2feaf4ad2fed88d6562d.jpeg

Mere moments later, something happened that I don’t recall Seeing at Falmouth before...

We were joined by another ship !  And even more unusual, it was the NCL Dawn.  I didn't think NCL used the port at Falmouth.  The Dawn is often our companion when docked in Bermuda.  We sailed on the Dawn many years ago. It was our one and only casino comp through NCL

It seems we are having maintenance issues AGAIN.  When we returned after b’fast at JR we found our suite attendant (Cami (Camelia)) overseeing a delicate plumbing procedure in the “guest” bathroom.  I haven’t yet expounded on the virtues of our excellent cabin attendant. She is, hands down, the best we’ve ever had. But this topic deserves its own post, so I will get back to the issue-at-hand.

It seems the toilet(s) is clogged again. <hands up and backpedaling> I DIDN’T DO IT !  I have been red-faced guilty of said crime many, many times (Dan claims I am a world class toilet paper abuser and I admit that I am) but not this time !  Whatever happened, it is serious. They had the whole freakin’ toilet bowl removed and untold lengths of plumbing snakes deployed.  I’m sure they think I’m guilty of some unspeakable toilet violation.  I could tell by the look on their face when we walked in. How do you defend yourself against this kind of bias ?  Perhaps it’s just deflection on my part b/c I know I have been guilty of similar sins in the past.  Oh well....Best to just let them work their magic and carry on as if nothing happened.  If I get a scolding from Cami I will know that we were unmasked by the workers.  Such an injustice !

Dan has gone to investigate.  I’m waiting out on the balcony to minimize the chance of being confronted directly.  He’s braver than I am.

Surely, it's not your fault. Unless you're throwing out full bottles and garbage this shouldn't be an issue you caused.

I agree. We know “the rules”. I feel like it’s something in the “main line” but since we are the top of the stem, we are the logical place to start “pushing” whatever it is <down> through the system. Sounds good. I’m goin’ with that...

Just in case any of you thought I might be embellishing my story, I provide photographic evidence of the seriousness of the plumbing debacle. They are working both inside

and, out in the hallway and overhead in the crawl space

image.thumb.jpeg.9979cdded538195cac37066b4afc07d5.jpeg

Sorry for the quality of the hallway photo  I was trying to be unobtrusive and take a quick shot.  Didn’t want the worker(s) to think I was spying on them !

Our water is on but we didn’t dare try and use the other toilet.  Dan dashed gown to 15 to find an available public toilet.  It was funny for a while.  Now it’s becoming a real nuisance
