Mark B Posted November 19, 2019 Report Share Posted November 19, 2019 We're debating between 2 different ships: Rhapsody and Majesty in 2021. The itineraries are the same and we live in Texas, so Majesty out of New Orleans looks good. We have sailed on Rhapsody and enjoyed it. I know Majesty is smaller, and I noticed the (smoking) Casino is near the shops and schooner bar. twangster Posted November 19, 2019 Report Share Posted November 19, 2019 At one end of the Schooner Bar it can be bad enough to motivate you to leave. I did on a couple nights. Unfortunately that is the end of the bar where sports are played on the TVs so I went and watched a game on my tiny old cabin TV instead. If you've never sailed from NOLA, you should give it a try. It's fun to sail down the river in the evening and wake up in the ocean. It's been many years since I sailed on Majesty so I honestly can't say much about the smoke. I'd bet it's noticeable based on what @twangster said. BunnyHutt Posted November 20, 2019 Report Share Posted November 20, 2019 I’m really sensitive to smoke and I had no issues in Schooner Bar.... but we also always sat either at the bar or at the end by the piano. I was on a girls trip with my bestie and Schooner was our favorite place on the ship, especially right before dinner and then into the night.
