The bride and groom asked us if they could take some wedding pix on our balcony. Of course, we agreed. They came and took the photos during the Cabin Crawl, so we had a party going on already. It was a great event. That’s so amazing! We really wanted to be married on the deck with an ocean backdrop which is no longer an option so rather than settling we decided to get the largest balcony star class suite with a genie! We have a small wedding so honestly a few decorations we bring, a small cake, some platters and bubbly and we are all set! Hoping this is as amazing as we think it will be! We are very low maintenance. We just want our loved ones and a beautiful intimate setting Jax

Jax
For anyone curious about the FCC, I received Email confirmation of amounts broken down by guest. I will hold off on applying this to my future cruise already booked until closer to final payment date so that I can continue to take advantage of any repricing. Some interesting information about FCC: Royal can not adjust FCC amounts issued by the ship so you must address your concerns and negotiate amounts while on board. In our case I wasn’t provided the letter from the ship until the morning of our disembarkation so I appreciate their offer to extend it to 2 years. Convenient, eh ? ...that they give you the letter at the very last possible moment and then you can't dispute it after you get off. Besides....how would you even know the amount of the FCC ? The only thing we got was a letter indicating that we would be receiving an FCC in a few weeks. By then it's too late !!

You don’t know what you don’t know right? The letter we received the morning of disembarkation stated a 20% FCC but to be honest I don’t think I even looked at it until we got settled in our post cruise hotel. The agent I dealt with post cruise sent a request to the ship asking them to reconsider the amount; not surprising it was not adjusted. Oh well, the FCC helps offset a portion of the costs of our next star class on Oasis....which I am already looking forward to as we are coming off a week of -35 Ogilthorpe, WAAAYTOOO and Lovetocruise2002 2
WAAAYTOOO
Trust me, I completely understand. The thing that "threw" me wasn't the 20% (which I found to be more than fair for what WE went through) but the basis for the FCC itself. How can an FCC for 20% of my cruise fare ($6255.70) come out to $464 ($232 each) ? In my case, I'm sure it is due to the otherworldly casino comp calculations. I hope you fared better than we did. Yes, fortunately we received 20% of our cruise fare. So it will be a nice chunk of change towards our Oasis sailing. Jax
For anyone interested in the on-board photo book, ours arrived today! It took about 3 weeks to arrive from time of disembarkation. Because we purchased the unlimited digital package our discounted rate incl shipping to was $85.49. It’s 18 pages with about 38-39 pics. You can not change the page backgrounds but can select the pictures on most of the pages. There are a few exceptions where you can’t. I wished I could have removed the background to specialty restaurants but otherwise I am very happy with it. I posted some of the backgrounds for you to see but have marked out our faces. Lol Hubby tries to have fun with some of the backdrops and always does one throwing Reyd overboard! Next year Reyd will be throwing Lindsay overboard lol. Hope this gives you an idea. WannaCruise
Love your photobook! After every family cruise, I create one. It's a post-cruise project and makes for great memories. We have them on a ledge displayed in our main family room. I always do them on my own, but didn't know that Royal has such a thing. The quality looks really nice and I love the cruise-related backgrounds. Curious, can you mix in the ships photos and your own photos? Or are you restricted to just the ship photos? Thanks for sharing.

Jax
A year ago today we had just boarded Anthem to begin this great family trip! No surprise, but we got hooked on star class, and booked 2 more. I was new to this forum and have made some great connections over the last year. Thank you for that. Like many of you we are home this year for Christmas but we are looking forward to all the Facebook memories that will hit us over the next few weeks. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas Lovetocruise2002, WAAAYTOOO, Ogilthorpe and 1 other 2 1
