dancingfish
I just received an email from RC that there will be a Coast Guard Inspection prior to our sailing and we have been asked to not arrive before 3:30 and all guests should be checked in by 4pm. We had planned on arriving at noon- due to hotel checkout etc. Does anyone know if passengers will be boarding during the inspection or if everyone has to wait? This seems like a tight window and certainly throws a wrench into all our pre-planning.
MelKaps
I received that email last month for my Harmony of the Seas cruise. We arrived normal time at 10am and was onboard by 11am. There were already hundreds of people waiting by 10:15am. No need to wait until 2:30, and you can arrive before noon. Perhaps check out early? Atlantix2000
If everyone took that email seriously, there would be no way to check in all guests between 3:30 and 4PM. I doubt it would be possible for everyone to physically walk on board in that short a time. Arrive when you planned. You might have to wait, but most of the time, the coast guard does not delay boarding by much (and certainly not until 3:30!).
Rob&Ana
The issue is it may delay the boarding, we were involved in one that did delay the boarding until noon. I think its just to cover themselves in case all does not go perfectly during the inspection. Enjoy your cruise!
