MO & LO on the go!
We are going to the ABC Islands in February 2020. This is our first time to these islands. Wondering what are some really good excursions on these 3 islands. We are adventurous people so that's not an issue for choices. We would like something that maybe can only be done at these islands (saw something about feeding sharks which we have never seen before). Any thoughts or suggestions? As a side note, we will record/vlog whatever stuff we do on these excursions on our youtube channel for those that want to see!
rjac
What are your interests? Are you layed back, adventurous? Do you snorkel/scuba or hike? That will helps us make some recommendations.
MO & LO on the go!
We are open for anything. We are adventurous. We have swam with dolphins several times, swam with turtles/stingrays, snorkeled many times, swam in caves, 4 wheeled, zip lined several times, beach days, wave jets, tubing, helicopter tours, submarine tour, discover scuba, etc.. so we have done numerous things ranging in interests! We are up for most anything and have no limitations!
FionaMG
We did the ABC islands last year so although we are not adventurous ourselves we did uncover quite a lot of stuff that might be of interest to you during our research. In Aruba, you could look at the trikes tour https://trikes-aruba.com/ or one of the ATV tours https://actiontoursaruba.com/ In Curação, you could look at Irie Tours all west beach hopping tour https://irietours.com/all-west-beach-hopping And in Bonaire, if you enjoy snorkeling you don't need to book a tour; you can just get the water taxi over to Klein Bonaire https://www.watertaxikleinbonaire.com/ where the snorkeling is supposed to be fantastic. Our table mates raved about it. Alternatively, another very popular option for Bonaire is to rent a golf cart and drive around the island at your own pace http://www.bonairecruisers.com/ Hope this helps. It's a great itinerary so you're going to have an amazing time. KristiZ, Mark B, MO & LO on the go! and 1 other 1
Mike P
We're going February 29th on Adventure. In Aruba I have a catamaran rented for 30 people (I am part of a 52 person group). For Bonaire we are renting golf carts to explore the island. As far as Curacao I have nothing planned. Am thinking about The Curacao Liqueur Distillery tour....or just exploring the port area. NJCruisers
Our cruise to the ABC island's is in 2 weeks and I've booked the following for my husband & I: Aruba: Trikes Aruba https://trikes-aruba.com/ for the morning, and we plan to just relax and hang on the beach afterwards. https://www.surfsidearuba.com/ Curacao: We booked the Beach Day through RC that brings us to Blue Bay Resort. We'll have lunch back on the ship then just venture out on our own afterwards. Bonaire: We booked with Woodwind https://www.woodwindbonaire.com/ to snorkel in the afternoon. St. Thomas: We booked an All Day Beach/Jeep Excursion through Sunfari http://sunfarivi.com/ I'll be sure to post our thoughts on each once we are back. Everywhere I research aruba the trikes are mentioned......must be very fun and popular. mworkman
@Lovestotravel Yes we enjoyed it, but it does have stairs to get to the caves...and bats do reside in this cave. Lovestotravel

micahd
We did a similar itinerary on Navigator earlier this year. It was our ten-year anniversary and an incredible experience. In Aruba we rented a jeep and went all over the island, Conchi, the lighthouse, two or three different beaches, the house of cake and the flying fishbone restaurant. In Curaçao we rented a car and hit several beaches including Playa Grandi first thing in the morning where we swam with several wild sea turtles. That was the experience of a lifetime. We stoped at a local grocery store for lunch and hit a few beaches before we spent some time in the very colorful downtown area as well. In Bonaire we did discover scuba diving with VIP diving. I would highly recommend it, they are not available through RC but they were incredible and they got us back on the ship with plenty of time to spare. Zeashore
In Curacao, we did the island tour that included the Hato Caves, a small museum, and the Curacao liquor factory. Very reasonably priced and enjoyable. It was through RCI. Lovestotravel and MO & LO on the go! 1

Any thoughts on how "advanced" one should be? I am a good swimmer, but haven't snorkeled since I was a kid. Not for me?
codyh21
Woodwind in Bonaire has always been exceptional and we’re going back in a couple weeks. They ask the group your skill level beforehand and divide you up with staff spending more time while in the water with those less experienced. We rented a car through Advance in Curacao so we can do some exploring. I’m doing a live blog so will be sure to report on that experience as well. ABCs are our favorite port stops! My wife and I snorkel quite a bit but we brought another couple along . . . the wife was fine but her husband struggled . . . when we mentioned his limitations to the Sea Cow crew they just smiled, they had him figured out from the beginning and kept an eye on him. Brobbins246
Do any of you know if Woodwind or Sea Cow have weight limitations for snorkeling? My husband is about 320lbs. He's a good swimmer, and we could bring our own life vest if needed. I'm guessing a lot of weight concerns would be on the size limits of the life vests provided by the excursion company. Looks like most people snorkel with no floatation devices anyway. I checked the SeaCow excursion on RC, and it's limited to 250lbs. Sorry for the thread hijack with my questions, but hopefully this is helpful for anyone else needing that info. NJCruisers
