JimBob
We're taking the RC Alaskan cruise out of Seattle in June. Docking ports will be Juneau & Skagway. Any recommendations for "mild" excursions while on this cruise? By "mild" I mean not physically taxing.
Don
The train trip to the Yukon Territories from Skagway would be my list.
Matt
Skagway is a beautiful city to walk around and admire
Jeff O
The White Pass & Yukon train excursion in Skagway is highly recommended. Its such beautiful place to be. In Juneau, Mendenhall glacier is easy to get to even without an actual excursion. Juneau itself is a nice walk with pretty good shops. I didnt care of the Sled Dog camp excursion, I thought it was expensive for what you get out of it. Matt
pnyxprss
I was going to suggest the dog sledding. We loved it and really learned alot about the whole dog sledding lifestyle. We also enjoyed petting the puppies.

Bryce G.
We did snorkeling in Ketchikan. It was not physically "taxing," per se. And boy was it worth it! Amazing! I'm sure the other ports offer the same.

Bryce G.
Snorkeling in Alaska? Isn't that....cold? :) Nope! Not after about 5 minutes. They give you this awesome wetsuit that allows a small amount of water in, and doesn't allow it out. So your body just heats up that water, and you're good to go! Highly recommended! Bryce G.
Lots of starfish. Jellyfish, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, really exotic-looking plants, and a bunch of 'regular' fish...aka fish that I don't know the name of...
