No Diamond Lounge on Quantum

Quantum of the Seas -  No Diamond Lounge

We will be sailing on Quantum of the Seas, from Singapore to Hong Kong in February. I have just wasted an hour on the phone to a member of staff who did not know his product and then to someone in the Crown and Anchor Society.

He told me that there is no Diamond Lounge on Quantum as it has been turned into a 'High Rollers Casino'   I asked where else we could go for some peace and a nice place to meet people over a drink and all he told me was that there were other bars where we could be served our complimentary 3 drinks.  I replied that it was not about the drink but to enjoy company without the noise of such a large ship.  I asked where I would be able to find the Diamond Hostess and all I got told was   The Front Desk.

I know the ship is going into dry dock and was hoping that this was one of the things to be changed back to how it used to be.  Apparently no one knows what changes are going to be made (on 19th Oct!)

Anyone out there have any inside info.

Thanks in advance

I have a friend who is not on this board who was on Quantum last month. He said the did a Diamond Nightly Event in the conference center. So not as nice as the lounge, but still a separate area.

Welcome @Sandy. O to the message boards.  May I suggest you change the title of your post to be reflective of your question?  You'll get more people to come in and post if they know what you're looking for.  Unfortunately I don't know much about Quantum as she is today.  I sailed her in 2015 when she was sailing out of NJ.  I know she underwent changes for the China market, so my experience was different.

Did you read through this post? https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2019/10/11/quantum-of-the-seas-will-add-laser-tag-and-escape-room-during-upcoming-renovation

Unfortunately calling Royal Caribbean customer service is a experience in futility in my opinion as it appears you have just realized. Most of them have no idea how to answer these kind of questions. Customer service on the boats is great, on land not so much. I don’t know the answer to your question but I can tell you that finding this site is a step in the right direction.

Hi Sandy,

I will be cruising on Quantum after the refurbishment in Singapore. I will let you know if they have the diamond lounge.

Hi Noonstar

I am booked on Quantum in Apr 20, I believe they restrict access to the Solarium for suite and diamond and above. Would be interested if they are still doing this. Maybe they could make the solarium the Diamond lounge :)

I was also told that the use the Concierge club as a combined Concierge/diamond lounge on China based cruisings.

Would be good to get some facts first hand as this ship is apparently treated differently, eagerly awaiting your response.

I will definitely explore and reply. There could be new arrangements since I will be sailing out from Singapore.

Anyone has any news now about the Diamond Lounge Situation since the last conversation took place ?

Hi everyone,

I just disembarked from Quantum and indeed, there are NO diamond lounges on board. However, diamond members get to have happy hours drinks at music lounge daily.

Solarium is only for adults.

Concierge Club, which is on Deck 12 (aft), is only available to suite guests.

Suite guests also have access to a private sun deck that is empty most of the time and this deck offers spectacular view. This sun deck can be accessed by a special stairway that is closed off and only accessible to guests with sea pass cards to suites.

I'm very glad to hear he Solarium is not restricted access. It's one of the areas I am most looking forward to enjoying next month.

Whilst there is no Diamond Lounge on Quantum, when numbers are sufficient they open up the Music Hall (Deck 4), for drinks and canapes from 4.30 to 8pm. This was the case on re positioning cruise last Oct from Beijing to Singapore and it was packed each night.

By the look of above posts, this is continuing for Singapore season.

Solarium on re positioning cruise and for the Singapore season is open to everyone over 16. On mainland Chinese cruises, Solarium is restricted to Suites and Diamond and above CA.

They both have Diamond Lounges.  I've stood in both.  Quantum's is unique in that there is a cashier's cage or booth still present from when this room was a high roller's casino in China.  Other than the cashier's booth Ovation's DL is pretty much identical.

Here is Quantum's DL from a May 2022 cruise:
