It will be on your sea pass card. I always make a reservation for my family of 6. You can show up but I find it easier to plan a dinner time around 6:30 for my family. It is easy to change if our plans change. You can make a reservation before the cruise on your Cruise Planner ChrisK2793
coneyraven
How many are in your party? The larger the party, the more it would be to your advantage to make reservations ..... If it's just the two of you, you can make a reservation, but it's not necessary ..... you would just be treated like you would at a land based restaurant .... you would wait for a table that comes available. As @coneyraven posted above, you don't have to make a reservation, unless you know you want to eat at the same time each night. We had a standing 7:30 reservation each night on our last cruise and just went at a different time, if the our schedule changed. Like above, you might have to wait for a table outside of your reservation time though. If you aren't going to make your reservation time, a quick courtesy call to the MDR would be appreciated by the MDR staff, so they could use that time slot for someone else. Happy Cruising! Whether you have My Time Dining or Traditional Dining everybody is assigned to a specific dining room for your cruise. The food is all the same, they just have to spread everybody out in the different rooms. ChrisK2793
CruiseGus
also want to add that all MTD dinners will be in the same dining room as to not interfere with the traditional dining service. ChrisK2793
