OakAgedYeti
I have an issue I’d like to see if anyone has had. I have 3 rooms booked on Allure. Two doubles and a triple. It was set up incorrectly and I now need to move the 2 people assigned to one of the doubles into the triple. I’m swapping those with 2 guests in the triple. So I’m not changing the number of total guests in the rooms. Problem is I’m being told that at least 1 person originally on the rez has to stay in the room. Anyone had success with this? mworkman
@OakAgedYeti My recommendation is to just change out key cards at the guest services desk once your onboard for the correct room. The only problem you may have is if someone is under the age and they're not in an adjoining room or across the hall. You will have to have someone in each room that is accountable for the bill with a card on file, unless that's you. Baked Alaska
OakAgedYeti
I thought about switch at guest relations. The 2 doubles are supposed to be mine. Me and 1 kid in one room and my wife and another kid in the second adjoining room. The triple had our friends in it but that couples father and soon got booked in the double that my wife and kid should have been in. I don’t mind switching key cars as long as the correct credit card can still be assigned to the key
AnnetteJackson
You can always go to guest services once on board and switch things around so everyone has their correct room key. I recommend doing this as soon as you get on board because the line for guest services can get long on day one.
mworkman
@OakAgedYeti I did what you're planning on doing on Allure back in June. We had adjoining rooms and switched out at guest services, so my wife and i were in the same room and our niece and her friend were in the room next door. Since the booking required an adult in each room on reservations, it wasn't a problem being we had rooms next door. You can have the room across the hall...that is the only exception that Guest Services were firm on as an alternative for your kids. Guest services just changed our cards to reflect the correct rooms.
OakAgedYeti
Thanks Annette and mworkman. mworkman...did at least 1 person from the original rez stay in the room? Mine is not the case. That’s the issue I’m having with the 1-800 number and my travel agent. They are saying we have to keep 1 person from the original booking in the room otherwise it’s a cancellation
OakAgedYeti
My thought is like y’all where I just wait to deal with guest relations in the ship. At that point they aren’t going to resell the room and maybe they won’t care. We aren’t changing the total number of people in each room just switching people around. WAAAYTOOO
I think the “1 person” rule only applies if you are officially rebooking the reservations prior to sailing. If you just leave things as they are and then reshuffle everyone once you get on board I don’t think the “1 person” rule applies anymore. mworkman
@OakAgedYeti Once your on the ship it won't matter.
