whitsmom
We have booked 3 Jr Suites (1080, 1082, & 1084). Can they take down the dividers be removed so that we all can be together on the balcony? Hubby & I had a balcony before; however, this is the first time bring the rest of the family. tonyfsu21
You can do it yourself with a car key and avoid RC telling you they can't do it. whitsmom

Matt
It depends on the ship and some other conditions. I wrote a blog post all about this, so you can plan appropriately: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2014/12/30/royal-caribbean-secrets-opening-the-balcony-dividers whitsmom
whitsmom
We will ask our cabin steward if they can be opened up. I really hope we can but it won't stop up from having an awesome time. I love the blog - very informative! Thanks! Matt

tonyfsu21
Matts answer is very understandably PC. In my experience (20+ Cruises across many classes) it is normally a request that is denied. Save yourself the hassle and just open the doors yourself. You have adjoining rooms so there is no harm in opening the doors to create a large balcony. It takes seconds to open and the doors secure nicely with a hook in the open position. whitsmom
Marc
For others reading this thread, it is worth a minor mention that opening the partition between balconies, if denied by the ship's staff, would be a violation of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ticket Contract where it states, in part: 8. a) Passenger shall at all times comply with the provisions of this Agreement, all applicable laws, and rules, policies and regulations of the Carrier, the Vessel and the Transport (as the same may be changed from time to time with or without notice). Although I've never heard of it happening, they could theoretically decide to disembark someone from the ship if they were found to have done something against the ship's policies. whitsmom
If we are told no then we will just make do. Who knows, maybe will be get lucky or maybe I will have the two little ones (8 & 10) ask with those puppy dog eyes! :P
