JennyJenny
I am in the middle of packing to head out for a business trip this afternoon. I was just making sure I had my KT Tape and scissors (I am driving so no worries about TSA or flying). When I fly, I pack my regular size scissors in my checked bag with no problem. Suddenly wondered what the cruise ship policy on scissors is? Can I put regular size scissors in my checked bag? How about nail scissors? Rob&Ana
My wife always has both with her, the regular scissors are not huge but we carry a small first aid kit with us and they are in it. We have never had any problems with either of them.
Lovetocruise2002
We always have a swiss army knife with scissors in our checked luggage. Never a problem.
WAAAYTOOO
I have a medium-sized pair of scissors with me and have never had an issue. They are certainly not SHEARS but they have about a 2" blade on them. No pointy tips though
KathyC
Guest Services will lend you a scissors if you need to cut something quick. We use them all the time to cut tags off of purchases.
JennyJenny
Thank you all! I usually carry the big pair I have (I guess they are kind of "office size"). I use them to cut KT Tape (so I don't want to borrow guest services and get theirs sticky). Sounds like I should be good if I check them! THANK YOU! markm
Looks like a lot of people get away with bringing scissors aboard. Received my Guest Ticket Boolket a few days ago and it says, "Prohibited items: Sharp Objects, including knives and scissors. (Note: Personal grooming items such as safety razors are allowed.)." SPS
From the Royal Caribbean list of prohibited items: "Scissors with blade length less than 4 inches are allowed" https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy JennyJenny
