CASINO Free Cruise

Hello!  We received a certificate for a free cruise on our last day of our cruise.  We reached Prime.  The casino host stated we would have a free cruise (he gave us a list) AND an annual free cruise.  I took that as two free cruises.  I signed into club royale and I only see an offer for one free cruise.  Anyone have an insight on this??  Our cruise ended 6 days ago.

The annual free cruise will not show up until next April. You basically qualified for the free annual cruise between April 2020 to March 2021

And you will likely get offers for additional select free cruises.  Casino Royale sends a mailer every 6 - 8 weeks, plus you can also get them in a email also.

Depending on your level of play, it could be for a inside, ocean view, or sometimes a balcony stateroom.  If you like the higher level staterooms, upgrades are usually pretty reasonable.

If you earned 2400  points, you should (and you were) awarded the list of (interior room) cruises that you will need to book within 30 days from the date the certificate was issued to you. You will have 1 year to sail on any of the cruises on the list, or redeem it for $500 off the cost of another cruise of your choosing. If you earned 3600 points, you would get a different list of OV room cruises, or 4800 points, for a list of balcony room cruises. I don't know what the values are for the OV or balcony cruises if you decide to trade the certificate in for the discount on other cruises, but they are more than $500.

We did not know about the free annual Prime cruise until husband (the Prime member; I actually don't gamble) called Casino Royale and the rep told him over the telephone about it, then emailed him the same information (that  email helped us tremendously.)

The posters above are correct; around mid-April 2020 all Prime (and above) members should receive an email with a code for the free annual cruise.

We sailed on our first Royal cruise on June 30th; husband made Prime on the last night of the cruise, but just as you  probably are, we were somewhat befuddled. The Casino Royale reps,  Cruise Critic message boards, this blog site, and a Facebook group for Casino Royale members have been our resources for finding out any and every detail concerning the Casino Royale Rewards program.

BTW, it took almost 2 months before husband started seeing Casino Royale marketing offers on the Club Royale website; the CR reps did warn us that it would be at least a month before anything showed up. We never saw the offer for the 2400 point certificate earned on the ship because we called the day after returning from the first cruise, and booked the free cruise right away!

The upgrades are now much more expensive than they used to be.  Casino Royale said it was a recent change.

Yes, once the new casino year started (1 April) the percentage discount for comped upgrades changed significantly. We used to pay about 40% of the discounted (BOGO or whatever offer they are pushing) rate but now we’re lucky to pay 70% of the discounted rate.  Very disappointing.

What is the Facebook group?

What is the Facebook group?

It's a closed FB group and you will need to ask to join (and possibly answer a few questions and read their rules. Stuff about being nice and keeping on topic.)

The group is called Royal Caribbean Club Royale Casino Patrons Forum (long title) but the people there are usually friendly and very active with their messages, etc.

So I think that I just searched on FB and found it; asked to join, was accepted several hours later, then invited husband to join, who is actually the prime member of their casino rewards program (Casino Royale.)

I find it addicting, because there are so many mysteries concerning onboard casino gambling, and I don't even gamble! I DO enjoy hubby receiving comped or heavily discounted cruises, ha ha!

The wife is a Prime member (I'm lucky to spend $20 per cruise in the casino) and we receive offers year 'round for free cruises (upcoming cruises in Oct, Dec and Jan). Although she is quite good, the reality is the amount she spends is paramount to what the cruise would have cost if we paid for it outright. I don't deny her the pleasure of the casino and the new cruises and do look forward to the offers when they come in the mail. Even get multiple offers with comps that our TA takes care of getting for us.

Recently it seems that Club Royale has been sending out some amazing offers through their monthly mailings. For those of you looking to earn the Cruise Certificate at the end of your cruise, I wouldn't play more just to get it. I have earned a fair amount Certificates and find the dates are usually pretty limited but it's still a nice savings. I find the monthly mailings to be far better in terms of selection, dates, and ships. Earning the Cruise Certificate requires a lot of play for table games players. I don't play slots so I couldn't speak for that style of point earning. How they decide who gets what offers is a complete mystery to me. Below is a list of recent mail offers:

All my lady plays is the slot machines and all I play are the tables.

Hopefully one of us if not both will start receiving these cruise certificates since we're going to be gambling anyways.

Since the threshold/limit is a mystery we're just going to do what we normally do and it'll be a nice surprise if we can hit prime.

My gambling budget is entirely dependent on my winnings if any at all haha.

Usually my lady will know if it's been a good or bad run based off how early I return to the cabin lol.

Does anyone know the ballpark amount you would have to spend in USD at the casino in order to earn one of those free cruises w/ a OV cabin?

We're taking our first cruise in jan, 2020 and I am a avid casino "enthusiast" and if we get free cruises might as well put it to good use.

$5 played in slots equals one point.  That isn't lost just played through.

The balcony offer can be redeemed for $1,000 and the Junior Suite is $1,500.

I earned right around 8,000 points during my trip and gambled around 500 minutes at the table games.

what game and what's your average bet ?

do you receive suite class benefits?  C&A tier?  do you earn cruise points? when using the comp certificates or when cruising on the specials

If you manage to make it Masters level (top of the heap) then you will receive Suites’ amenities - complimentary internet, access to the Suites Lounge, expedited boarding, etc.

Casino benefits do not affect Crown & Anchor status

Points earned are casino status points, not C&A

Upgraded casino certificates will earn C&A points but I’m not sure whether a completely comped cruise earns any C&A points or not.  For the time being, casino comped cruises upgraded to Jr Suite or higher still get double C&A points.  They tried to nix this once and got huge push-back from casino customers but I won’t be surprised if they try to nix this again in the future.

Is this confirmed that $5 is 1 point on slots?

I could not find that information anywhere of their conversion or ratios to how they determine the points to play?

Information was told to us on the ship by the host.  My husband is pretty good about tracking these things and it works out.

Hubby (and so me also) will be diamond after our next cruise all within 2 years and all free cruises.  He gets his double points in Jr suite and above as well as when he sails solo.  We don't receive suite benefits unless in a suite.

starting bets were $300 on blackjack and $1,200 on craps though most of the time they were higher than that.

Wow ! Kudos ! Once I'll be betting $1200 a hand for 7 days,  i doubt that free cruise will be my main pre-occupation  ?

This a great program. even if you loss $5,000 the free cruises well make up for it. I had 2400 point last year and my wife doesn't gamble I used her card to get 2400 points also. all in all we loss a total of $3,457.00 on the last cruise 11 days,. But we were able to book 3 cruises last year that would have cost us over $12,000. we also book 5 cruise this year at a cost of $ 17,658.00 all we had to pay for was the taxes, gratuities, and any extras. we also got free drinks in the cruise any time you walkthrough. What a great program.

have fun john

Anyone know what happens in the event a sailing is cancelled where you had a complimentary stateroom booked from a casino promo?  We only paid fees.  I know we aren't eligible for lift and shift, so do we just lose out and get our fees back?

How does applying the cruise comps as a solo cruiser work? Is there a fee for using it as single compared to double occupancy? Thanks for any info

That's an interesting question that I don't have the answer to.  I am going to guess....that as long as you do not upgrade the comp, you would pay nothing additional but if you upgrade it, you would pay the double occupancy upgrade cost.  I really don't know the answer though.  Very good question.
