Harmony as far as I know, there are no push notifications, you have to know to check the APP for messages. The chat is three dots in a cloud in the upper right hand corner (iPhone) of the screen. There is something you can do on Harmony, and it has been discussed in other threads. I believe the idea is that each smartphone user in your party loads the Royal app, and you can send messages but you don't get an alert (as I've been told). Standby for comments from other users -- my wife is the one who used it to stay in touch with our son, and she's not handy right now.
