Just trying to get a handle on things. I have cruised 5x with Royal ( many more with other cruise lines) and kept getting correspondence from them. I finally called and it seemed like a con job to me. My casino credits were minimal ( I play every day and for a decent period of time) and my account days were off too. When I did question I was asked for receipts, some trips were years ago, again I thought I was being conned. Is there a way to fix this......?????? Any help is appreciated...thanx

All reports I've seen say that Royal will fix any discrepancy on Crown and Anchor points if you provide proof you were on the cruise.  Their own records are only good back to some date (90s or early 2000s I think) due to a change in their systems.  For anything older, you just have to show something.  Receipts are obviously best but even photos of you on the ship have been known to work if there's something that indicates the date.  I'm not sure why you think you're being conned by being asked for proof.  They have to make sure you aren't conning them!

As for the casino, their current program is based on your spending/points within a certain time period.  I'm not too familiar with the program, but I think it goes like this: based on your casino play within a certain time frame (12 or 18 months?) you earn a certain status that is good for the next time frame.  If you don't maintain that level of play, you lose your status at the end of the time frame.  So if you haven't cruised Royal recently, you won't have much credit.

I talked to the host about this, because I was playing for about 6 hours a night last cruise I went on,  and did accumulate anything substantial. Essentially if you are playing the tables and want to get points, you have to keep buying in and cashing out, simply put, continuous play goes undocumented. My wife on the other hand played maybe $100 total on slots and accumulated 5x the amount of points I did.

Thanks all for you help.

1-I have only cruised once a year with Royal, again HAL 2x and so on and yes we lose our points after March 31

2- it’s almost impossible to retain receipts for more than several years but I will try to get pictures(?)

3- it does sound like I should get up and down from the tables or maybe spend less money, either way without rules and Regs it’s hard to figure

again THANK YOU for your help

Biggest bit of advice I've read about the casino is make sure the host knows who you are.  Talk to him/her about your play, and the size of your bets, and make sure they see you playing.  They will be much more likely to record your play if they know you are part of the casino program.  If you're just another face in the crowd, you may not get any credit.

Usually C&A can find your points if you can give they the sail date... they just wont search unless you have more precise info. Sometimes a photo with have a time stamp. If you have sailed 5 times and they were 7 day cruises you should have 35 cruise points and you would be Platinum. Casino plays don't add to you C&A points.
