DanielB
Booked a Guaranteed Neighborhood Balcony Stateroom about a week ago and today received the stateroom assignment. Talk about shocking! Cruise isn't until January 2020 so honestly didn't expect anything before the new year. Disney takes their sweet ole time. Oasis of the Seas Stateroom 10595 Looks like a good location to me, any down side?
KathyC
We have an OV balcony guarantee for a sailing early December and too were surprised when we got our cabin assignment in July. I was expecting it to be around Thanksgiving...
Matt
The time it takes to assign a GTY room is really all over the place. Glad you got yours quickly! Looking at the deck plans, looks like you're about half way down the deck towards the aft. My advice is if you are going from the forward to the aft part of the ship to get to your room, opt for a walk in public areas (Central Park, Promenade, Pool Deck) to avoid the manontany of stateroom deck walks. Matt
One more bit of advice. If there's another room available that is same category as you, you can change to that room for no additional cost. Since you're so far out from your sail date, I'd expect there to be some. Rob&Ana
We booked a GTY for 2 weeks on Liberty for Oct this year and still no cabin....lately we don't seem to get our cabins until a week or so before the cruise....
hayley_bopp
I haven't looked at the deckplans so don't know if this applies to your room but make sure it's not a connecting room. We had a GTY cabin on Independence last year and ended up with a connecting room and there was LOTS of noise-bleed from the other cabin. For our upcoming Allure cruise we specifically booked a cabin on Deck 8 to make this even easier. Absolutely love strolling through a park on a ship on our way to dinner and shows!!
