KimS
Ok, I know I asked before but keep thinking about our 40th leaving on 8/17/2019 So, I keep hearing that they “only” deliver the decorations instead of putting them up for ya. But, then I start thinking “ Wait!! We got a Suite & a Concierge!! , and thinking wouldn’t they put them up for me??” When they e-mail I will certainly ask & offer to pay bit more “if” they will put them up before we get to the cabin? So, I know I asked before, but...... Has anyone that had a suite had the concierge put them up maybe offer to pay a bit more for them to do that?? I’m probably grasping at straws here, but I’d slip them of course some money ( don’t have a clue how much! ) But ask g one last time, if maybe the concierge if ya have a suite would put them up?? Please let me know if Anyone who had a suite had the concierge put up decorations I’ll also ask when they email! Thanks as always KimS
Lovetocruise2002
They might be able to do it for you but keep this in mind when you ask.... A typical turnaround/embarkation day begins very early for the concierges. On Symphony, the begin escorting guests off at 6:30am. Typically, by the time they start boarding the next round of guests, the concierges have taken their break and are not back in the lounge until 4:30pm. Assuming that they did have time to put up the decorations, your stateroom attendant may not be done with the room for decorations to go up. Your best bet, if you really want the decorations to be ready when you walk in, is to purchase the decorations through your cruise planner and then make the request to the concierge to have the room attendant put it up. That is what I would do anyway. KimS and MDIAZ72 1
KimS
Thanks SO much Geese, I wasn’t thinking about the turn around break for them! I can sure understand them needing that break! Will do that when I hear from the concierge, ask if the room attendant could Please put it all up! Thanks KimS
melski94
Once again, I wouldn't expect the decorations to be up at 1 pm when the staterooms open. They potentially could put them up during the evening service. Turnaround day is so busy for the stateroom attendants. The stateroom attendants are super busy cleaning the rooms and decorations aren't quite as important as getting people into their room. tldslick
I bought the package for our 20th on Freedom of the Seas in July last month. I did not know when they would deliver them. They were already up when we went to our room after 1:30. Our room attendant had hung them up. This is what it looked like when my wife walked in Hoski, PRebecca, Ken23 and 5 others 7
mom2mybugs
Our decorations on this vision cruise were already up on day one when we got there! They look great and I'm so glad we did them... Mike P
I pre-purchased birthday decorations in February and anniversary decorations in May. February was a balcony stateroom and May was a suite. Both times the decorations were hung up when we went to the cabin on embarkation day. CruiseGus
Almost sound like part of the package to have them up when you arrive at the room on embarkation day. KimS and Mike P
KimS
It looks that way to me anyway, esp if you’re wanting to surprise someone for anniversary, birthday,etc.... But I do get it that there just isn’t enough time after passengers are getting off, while you’re getting on & they’re trying to get all the rooms clean by 1 pm. But did look nice, maybe can have them put up when we go to dinner that night! Just thought of that, lol.....guess I’m a stubborn one lol

When you purchase them you need to specify the delivery date. I assume as long as that date is embarkation day the stateroom attendant will put them up. I never thought twice about it, I just assumed that would be the case.....and it was. KimS

KimS
After getting our email from the Concierges, I asked them, although knowing how busy the are, esp on the day of embarkation with the room attendant cleaning the rooms, if there was anyone who could put up Anniversary decor before we enter the room & got a yes This was a tiny part of their response, I am so happy!! Hope the hubby will be! Thank you for your email Ms. Kim Your suite will be decorated before you get to your room on Saturday.
